Palazzaccio Todi - Romantic stone house with views

The house is part of a historical estate dating back to the 17th Century. Records show that Garibaldi the italian national hero stayed here in 1846 retreating from the defeat at the hand of Napoleon III army of the short lived democratic adventure of the Roman Republic.

The house sits in on the most exclusive hill facing the town of Todi and the valley beneath it. It is surrounded by a private wood of 30 hectares that covers the hill all the way to a medieval watchtower that dominates the valley. Nestled in the hill opposite Todi lies our old farm which has been refurbished in 2013.
The house is 150 sq meters (1600 square feet) and is composed of 3 bedrooms, one big kitchen with fireplace and a living room.

You will reach the house driving on a private road bordered with secular trees (one is certified being 500 years old).

The property includes a 30 hectares wood that covers half of the hill which makes for great walks and mountain bike rides in the nature; within it you will find water creeks, wild plants and a medieval tower that lays on top of the hill.

There is also 9 hectars of farming ground where our private olive groove of 300 trees every autumn gits us with an amazing extra-virgin olive oil on top of seasonal crop.

You will be received by a person who speaks fluently english and spanish on top of italian. She will introduce you to the house and the area. Providing informations on local markets, village fairs and outdoor activities.

Todi is a charming well-preserved medieval town founded before the Roman empire and unmutated since the 14th Century; Todi sits on top of a hill overlooking gorgeous rolling green valleys.
Within short distance you have the natural park of the river Tiber, Marmore waterfalls, tiny romantic hamlets such as Doglio and Unesco site Assisi.
Food in the region is unparalled with top notch wines, truffle and the best restaurant of Italy 2014 (Vissani) within 20 km from the house.
Our property is in the most exclusive hill of the area, with views over the valley where runs the Tiber river going to Rome and just 10 min drive away from the town itself where you will find all you need (i.e. supermarkets, pharmacies, ATM, ice cream...)
