Additional Location Information

We are located half a block north of Allen Gardens, with its beautiful botanical garden greenhouses; five minutes walk from historic Cabbagetown with its quaint Victorian houses and the historic Distillery District with mid-nineteen century industrial buildings renovated into art galleries, studios, bars and restaurants. The heart of downtown Toronto is only about fifteen minutes walk, where you can visit all of the major attractions - the CN Tower, the Skydome, Eaton's Centre, Queen's Park, Nathan Phillip's Square, Dundas Square, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Royal Ontario Museum and many others. Toronto is home of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the Molson Indie and the Canadian National Exhibition. Niagara Falls is a glorious day trip and lands you also in wine country of the Niagara Peninsula. The George Bernard Shaw Festival Theatre is down that way too. The Stratford Theatre is only an hour or so by car or bus.

The street we are located on is a residential street with Victorian-era houses on our side (our house dates from 1896), and condos on the other side. Nearby is the heart of the gay district, the Church/Wellesley Village, a colourful and vibrant centre with bars, restaurants and abundant street life. All are welcome to this friendly neighbourhood. Major shopping centre abound, as do restaurants of every cuisine.
