A real Norwegian log cabin set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
Part of a quiet holiday village, this cabin has stunning views of the Rhinog mountains and Cadair Idrs (cloud cover permitting).
The cabin is just off the A470 between Trawsfynydd and Dolgellau which puts it in the ideal spot for exploring the whole of North Wales.
Ty Coed is an ideal couples' cabin - warm and cosy. The veranda is fairy-lit so you can sit inside listening to music and stare out at the mountains... or during warmer weather sit out on the deck and enjoy view and the peace and quiet.
The accommodation consists of an open plan living area with well-equipped kitchen area off to the side. The living area has a 32in flat screen HD TV and Blue Ray player. The enclosed and heated veranda gives extra living area plus a dining area. There are 2 bed rooms, one with a double bed and the second with a set of bunk beds. The shower room has been completely re-fitted with a large quadrant shower.
All electricity for hot water, heating and lighting is included in the price of your stay.
We supply duvets and pillows for all beds but not the bed linen. Contact us with other questions, queries or special requests - we'd love to help you to make your stay with us extra special.
Full directions and arrival instructions will be sent out with your booking confirmation.
We are close to Coed y Brenin Trail Centre for running and mountain bikers.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I cannot fault the log cabin at all."
"We stayed in Ty Coed for 3 nights over New Year. The cabin was really well kept and well furnished, very clean and everything that we needed was in the cabin. We had no issues booking. Sue was very helpful. We arrived at night, please take note that you NEED torches here as there is no street lighting. Sue does warn you but if you think "oh we'll be OK" you won't LOL!! The reason there is no outdoor lighting is clearly evident when all the stars come out - it is truly beautiful! It was so romantic being so far from everything we knew and everyone over the Christmas period. We locked ourselves away and just read on the veranda part and had hot chocolate and watched films. We did venture out as well, you can't possibly go to Snowdonia without doing this, there are loads of lovely places just on the doorstep. Will be visiting here again, no doubt about that"
"We absolutely loved the cabin! it was beautiful and just a shame it was only 1 night we stayed. I would highly recommend yourselves everything was perfect."
"Thank you for a fantastic weekend. The cabin was well kitted out and the location was perfect. The fairy lit veranda was a wonderful finishing touch."
"Fantastic lodge in a great location. The lodge was very cosy and had all of the amenities required for a short break including a great shower room and master bedroom (the bed was very comfy). When we entered there was music playing and candles burning - it looked very relaxing. Would definitely recommend staying here"
"Just spent the weekend here, lovely cabins, cosy, clean and fully equipped. Arrived to soothing music, a welcome basket and fairy lights on in the porch. I would highly recommend Cadair View Lodge to anyone."
"Just thought we'd say thank you very much for a wonderful time at Cadair View Lodge. We stayed in Ty Coed for 4 nights and can't praise the accommodation enough, and we really appreciated some of the personal touches such as the groceries and the music/candles ready for our arrival. We would definitely recommend you to our friends and family and certainly hope to return in the future. Fantastic scenery and plenty to do. Perfect! (Shame about the weather!)."
