This unit is really fantastic. Everything about it is exceptional. Only one thing to fix is a water leak under the kitchen sink. It maybe coming from the instant hot water faucet. Otherwise a great place to vacation!

We recently rented the trail side villa townhouse. We were impressed how clean and comfortable it was.. It was great for two families as our daughter, son-law and toddler grand daughter used the bedrooms downstairs with their own bathroom, and my husband and I were upstairs with a great master bathroom.. We had a beautiful private view of the woods from our living room and deck.. Great stay. Would come again.

We rented this home to stay close to Tahoe Donner for my son's that was held at The Lodge at Tahoe Donner. Beautiful wedding and day. This home was very roomy and very well kept. Everything we needed was supplied, except the food, of course. The gas grill that was attached to the home gas line was so easy to use. We would definitely stay here again. Great view and wonderful area.

This was the third year we have stayed at the Trailside Villa and really like its location and clean, modern look. Everything was well appointed and service was excellent. One thing we noticed was some water in the carpet by the kitchen entry and the kitchen laminant flooring looked like it had been a little water affected. This damage was not noted during our previous stays there. Perhaps it was caused by the water source to the refrigerator? Otherwise Trailside Villa is a great place to enjoy the Truckee/North Tahoe region.

Everything about the place was great, from the instructions we received, to the snacks and goodies that were left for us, to the accommodations themselves. A pleasant surprise just how nice the accommodations were, and plenty of room for our two families (4 adults, 3 kids). Great beds and bathrooms, nice couches, chairs, and dining table, a very well-appointed kitchen, plenty of room in the garage. All around an excellent experience. The only slight criticism I would express, and this is pretty minor, is that the location of the heater thermostat on the bottom floor makes for a wide disparity in temperature between the bottom floor (where two of the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms are located), which tends to be a bit cool, and the upper floor (where the master bedroom and bath, another bathroom, and the kitchen, dining area, and living room are located), which tends to be a bit too warm. Ideally, it would have been better to locate the thermostat in the stairwell or in some other location where it better registers the temp(s) on both floors. But we just opened a window or two in the upstairs floor, and it was not a big deal at all.
And the location was great for us, because it was literally just a block or two from the downhill resort parking lot. We could have walked if we did not have ski stuff to carry.

Perfect location for nordic skiing at Tahoe Donner X-Country. Trails are right outside the house. Excellent wi-fi and tv reception. Well equipped kitchen and lovely master bedroom, master bath and gas fireplace.
Carpets need to be replaced as they are very soiled and worn. It was very convenient for skiing but overpriced, considering all of the rentals in the Tahoe Donner area.

While this unit is fairly small, it works well for our small family gatherings. There is a nice deck in the back with a private view of the woods behind. There is direct access out the back to miles of trails. Be aware that the garage is narrow and small (one car only) and that the living areas (living and dining room) are small. This would probably to too tight for two families, but works for us with our grandchildren.

This house is modern, clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location. It is a short walk to Tahoe Donner ski hill, its backyard is all woods and it was very quiet when we stayed there. My family found the house to be very welcoming, comfortable, warm and will definitely go back and stay there again. Having a garage when it snows is a real plus too! It was only 3 of us but there is easily room for 7.

We had a very nice stay at the Trailside Villa during the first weekend of February. We have stayed at many places in Tahoe Donner every winter since 1987 and this place is one of the best we've tried. Everything in the unit worked well; it was clean, modern and comfortable. We would like to continue staying there for years to come!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo, but felt that it was far too expensive for the quality of the amenities. The kitchen was understocked (no serrated knife, no cookie sheet, etc.), the "stereo" was an old boom box without an ipod hookup, the tv was old and not very good. Also, the description states that guest passes to the development's gym and pool/spa are included, which they are, but fails to mention that you still have to pay for the privilege of using them. But the house was otherwise comfortable and well-located.

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay in this townhouse. Everyone was very comfortable, children and adults alike. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with the essentials for cooking. Loved the location for both snow play and skiing. Very quiet during our stay. Very clean too - absolutely no complaints! Will look to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay for the most part - the home was certainly not huge, but it was more than adequate. Can't say enough good things about the location - it was such a treat to ski right out the door and not have to get in the car at the end of a long day of skiing.
Our main issues were with the kitchen (which was not 'gourmet'). There were NO wine glasses; even if owners don't drink many people do and the appropriate glasses are a minimal requirement. We also needed a mixer to make whip cream and had to do it by hand with a very small whisk. The pots and pans seemed pretty adequate - but there was a very minimal supply of utensils. I'd also just say that if people were really going to cook a 'dinner party' as advertised, they should not expect to have more than 1 or 2 people in the kitchen at once - pretty small!
Anyway, except for the small kitchen, other things are very fixable; and location is great!

We had some issues - not overridging our stay, nonetheless, issues. There were spiders everywhere. And, these were not "dead" or recently deceased...these were live and active. The lower adults bedroom (w/queen sized bed was the most interesting in that it had webs that we actually took as some sort of "guazy" coverlet at first glance - when we went to move it, "it" (several spiders) took off in several directions. Found spiders in all bathrooms, kitchen, living room area...heck everywhere. Immediately set off for a store where we purchased bug spray to take care of the problem. We found the amount of clothing (children's) in the lower bedroom really hampered our ability to "unpack" our grandchildren's items and made us wonder if the people who owned this "villa" had not wanted someone to use this bedroom. The vaccuum cleaner was a joke - did not work at all. We found someone else's comment sheet remaining in the container on the kitchen counter - making us wonder if anyone actually cared about really doing a thorough investigation of the property when the previous "tenants" had vacated. It was also interesting that these people had had an experience similar to ours. This is a gorgeous spot that simply needed a really good cleaning and some bug spray to stop the local spiders from setting up housekeeping.
Thank you for the review, we appreciate any feedback from our guests. Every house in Tahoe will have the odd spider even new homes. None are harmful in any way and it is impossible to eradicate them all - even if you live in the home full time. Unfortunately spiders are a fact of life in a mountain environment like Tahoe. We have passed on your comments to the owner regarding the children's clothes and the vaccuum cleaner. Remember, when you vacation rent a home you are renting a family's second home and so they will have some personal effects there.
