One thing about this apartment is that we do ask that guests remove their shoes at the entry. We're from Hawaii, and that is customary in a Hawaiian home. In addition, we try to maintain the apartment in an exceptionally clean fashion so as to accommodate those guests with allergies.
For our Tucson Gem & Mineral Show Guests: the first two weeks of February represents the peak of the visitor season in Tucson and 100% occupancy throughout Pima County is the norm. We specialize in hosting the vendors, and offer enhanced services. The exhibitions make for long days for the vendors, and we offer them support services, such as assistance with pickups for dry cleaning and sundries, availability of the housekeeping staff to assist with personal laundry, and assistance with the small urgent matters that can crop up. Our location is convenient if you plan to drive, take a cab or the public transportation (the Grant Road bus will travel only one mile to the University campus to connect with the eastern terminus of the Modern Trolley, which is the best way to commute downtown to the venues).
We have made arrangements for guests who desire access to swimming, tennis, fitness classes and exercise equipment to have temporary memberships to the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club (reasonable rates are daily, weekly or monthly). Ask for details.
In consideration of our community of residents and guests, we request that you observe quiet hours between 10PM and 6AM. There is no smoking. We are not able to accommodate pets. Please remove shoes at the door (we provide each guest with a new, sealed pair of spa slippers). Bicycles or motorbikes may not be kept in the apartment (however, we will try to arrange for on-site storage with advance notice). Any vehicle maintenance, cleaning or repairs must be off-site. When cooking inside the apartment, please be considerate of those who follow and refrain from preparing fried foods and those with pungent odors that may linger after your occupancy (there is a gas burner available on the outdoor barbecue). If you have any questions or concerns, please ask, and thank you for your cooperation!...Read more

The service we received was excellent, from the day we arrived until the day we left. Whether it was refills on the decaf coffee or just questions we had, Ross and Bill provided the answers we we're looking for.
The location of the property was exactly right for us...it provided us a central location to be able to visit family and friends without excess travel.
Availability of wifi, a Keurig coffee maker, a complete kitchen, and both central A/C and a swamp cooler...access to laundry facilities, and no lack of hot water for bathing...we loved it all!
On our next trip to Tucson, this is the place we plan to stay, again.

My wife and I stayed at the condo/apartment owned by Ross. The apartment was unbelievably clean and well kept. Ross was always available, asking if you needed anything to make your stay better. He provided discounts to various places like the Biosphere, the Tucson Botanical Gardens and even movies. He left numerous bottles of water, juice, hand-picked fruit from the trees in the backyard. He left us bunches of snacks and coffees to use, free.
When you first arrive, the exterior appears okay but when you enter the condo you are immediately impressed. My wife was very impressed by the use of tasteful decor, especially the artwork. She also loved the upgraded linens, bright white and brand new. There is a laundry facility onsite with quarters provided to use in the machines. Laundry supplies were provided free. Cleaning supplies are provided throughout the entire apartment. Tucson related books, all kinds, all about Tucson, what to see, history, galleries, hiking trails, annual events, you name it and you will find some type of literature in the various rooms!
The apartment is near Bookman's used books and if you haven't been to a Bookman's you are missing out if you love old books. It is near Randolph park which is a good place to walk and has a zoo as well as having Hi Corbett field which is the home of arizona Wildcat baseball. Many places to eat out and try arizona cuisine, all types are near by.
Still, the best part of the trip was the attention to detail that Ross consistently provided for our stay. In all of our years of staying places this was by far the nicest place for us to stay. We highly recommend this little oasis in the sun, but hurry we have already booked next year. We stayed one week this year but due to our great experience, we are staying here two weeks next year!

Our stay at Mid-Town Tucson Pied-a-terre was great and Ross is a fantastic host. The apartment was immaculate and was well stocked with snacks, drinks, and condiments. Ross provided us with valuable information as well as recommendations on places to eat and things to do in the Tucson area. The only drawback I can see is that this experience was so spectacular that any future vacation venue will inevitably pale in comparison. Thanks for spoiling all our future vacations Ross!

I am a retired university professor and my wife, Lin, is a soon-to-be-retired Certified Nurse Practitioner. We began looking on Flipkey.com and found Ross Wiegand's 2BR "pied-a-terre." I began communicating with Ross via electronic mail. He was pleasant, thoroughly professional, and informative, answering every question that I posed about the property. From the inception of our exchanges, it was apparent that this particular endeavor is a work-in-progress, with five other units in the main building, and numerous renovations ongoing within the project. In addition to a convenient location and a very attractive physical plant, I received warm-and-friendly vibrations from Ross right from the start. A couple of days into our visit, we reached the 100% unanimous decision to reserve the condo for 8 weeks in 2015.
Now, for some particulars on the property and regarding Ross as our host. He is the penultimate professional: friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, informative, competent, and business-like. Upon taking delivery of the rental, I was impressed with Ross, not only as a Landlord, but also as a caring-and-attentive host, much as one would expect from the proprietor of a Bed-and-Breakfast. I will cite but a couple of illustrations to dramatize Ross' professionalism, expertise, and graciousness. I must have fired one-hundred questions at Ross before committing to this year's lease agreement. He responded to each of my queries expeditiously and efficiently. As my evaluation proceeded, I began to feel as though I knew Ross personally. Upon meeting him in person, I quickly took a liking to the man - not only as a provider of services, but also as a friend. Ross provides information on attractions, events, and activities in Tucson, including local farmers' markets, arts-and-crafts shows, cultural events, entertainment venues, etc. We are absolutely and positively satisfied with Ross Wiegand's little Oasis in an older, established region of Tucson.

Ross provided initially and during my extended stay all I needed and wanted for a temporary rental. The apartment is nicely furnished w/ unexpected amenities especially in the kitchen/dining area. The midtown location provides very convenient shopping, dining, university, and downtown venues. And nearby parks (Reid, Himmel, Rillito Vista)are a real treat for walking/running/biking. And whenever I needed a recommendation for a particular activity, Ross was quick to offer great suggestions! I don't hesitate in recommending this property to visiting family and friends!

This was my first experience of staying in a vacation rental, and it was an absolutely amazing one. Ross is a great host, extremely friendly. The location is perfect, just off grant road and close to everything including the university. The place was absolutely clean and spacious and had all the amenities one would require during their visit! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Tucson! Thanks a lot, Ross!

If you are going to be in Tucson, this a wonderful place to stay. It is clean, bright, quiet, cheaper and nicer than a hotel, well taken care of and fully stocked with basic amenities. Ross is a very generous and friendly person who obviously takes great pride in his rentals. I enjoyed staying here, and it made my time in Tucson easy and stress free. Don't miss out!

Ross and his listing have both earned my highest praise. The apartment was excellent. The pictures accurately show it but in person it is even better. Clean, bright, spacious, with a great location for any Tucson activity: university, mountains, canyons, parks, museums, restaurants, shopping are all in close reach. The host, Ross, is absolutely the best. He was gracious and helpful and generous with his time and consideration. At the risk of overselling my praise, let me just say that this is hands down the best experience I have had with an owner vacation rental and I was already a fan! I concur with another review about the place looking even better than the photos. Also there were many thoughtful touches like the items in the fridge to make you feel like a guest more than just a renter. Having the local paper each morning outside our door was another nice touch. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next stay in this charming pied-a-terre. Thank you Ross!

This was my very first experience with a rental apartment instead of my typical hotel stays in Tucson and all I can say is wow just wow! I cannot imagine a better experience, the host of this property was the best! Accommodating, friendly and every detail was in place. It felt like a home away from home. I visit Tucson every month to see my elderly father and it's stressful so having this place so perfectly put together was really the oasis of my day. I slept very well! The place looks just like the photos, maybe even better. The fridge had fresh fruit, soda, sports drinks, tonic water etc. There were snacks like trail mix and popcorn, basic needs for cooking, even coffee, tea, creamer, and sugar, even Splenda! Beautiful dishes, glasses and utensils and the most awesome display of professional knives and kitchen gear: toaster, blender you name it! Even the morning paper delivered to your door to enjoy with your coffee. All included at no extra cost which I loved. Both bedrooms were gorgeous, high thread count sheets were a great touch! Everything needed to do laundry was also provided (Hamper, laundry basket, detergent, softener ). Here's the kicker...the host even provided quarters to do laundry! Who does that?! Ross does, he was awesome! He thought of everything and I will definitely be staying there again! It was an amazing experience and I would rather stay at this location than any of the resorts in Tucson. Amenities galore! Thanks again to my wonderful host that made my weekend wonderful with his awesome rental apartment! I will be seeing you again and can't wait to stay in that apartment, I look forward to my home away from home experience. You have set the bar high for other rental properties and hosts. I have some upcoming trips to other places this year and the standard you set is remarkable! Lets hope all my experiences are as great as this!

Ross is a great host, very friendly and helpful. This unit is super clean and has all the conveniences of home. The beds are very comfortable and there is also washer and dryer available to use. It is close to downtown and the university. Just off of Grant Rd., it provides easy access to the I10 and many other main streets. Parking is off the street and it is in a nice neighborhood. I highly recommend this unit and will definitely book it again next time I am in Tucson.
