Imagine enjoying your breakfast at sunrise on your own private oceanfront deck. Georgia Sunrise is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath (additional bath located under house) single-family home located mid-island on a private lane. You will be just a short 2 block walk from Memorial Park which features volleyball, tennis, basketball courts, playground, library, gym, and YMCA.
The main level of the home is located up one flight of stairs for maximum views over the sand dunes of the ocean. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are all open to each other with a decorative (non-working) fireplace separating the dining and living areas in the center. There are large sliding glass doors off the space which offer ocean views over the expansive deck area. The open floor plan feels even more spacious because of the vaulted ceilings in the space. The dining area will seat 6 at the table and 3 at the bar. The kitchen includes all appliances including a dishwasher and full-size washer and dryer. The living room features a Queen sleeper sofa and a 42in flat screen TV with built-in DVD player.
The 3 bedrooms can be found off a hall which runs parallel to the living spaces. The first has a King bed and a 32in flat screen TV, the second is furnished with 2 Twin beds and a 27in TV with VHS and DVD player, and the third has a Queen bed and a 24in flat screen TV with built-in DVD player. There is one full bath located in the main part of the home.
On the ground level of the property, in the center of the carport, you will find an additional full bath with stand-up shower, toilet, and sink. It has the feeling of an outdoor space but offers privacy and is very convenient when you are going to or coming back from the beach.
The best amenity this home offers is the large oceanfront sun deck which includes built-in bench seating, table with 4 chairs for outdoor dining, and a gas grill. When you are ready to head to the beach there is a walking path over the sand dunes located right next door to the house which all the residents on this private lane use. Many guests (especially elderly ones) may prefer to walk 1 block to the public beach boardwalk/crossover at 7th Street as the path sometimes can be hard to use (especially when carrying beach gear).
Georgia Sunrise offers its guest complimentary WIFI/high speed internet access.

This is my second rental from Tybee Rentals and to be honest I am sad that I cannot make a good review. The house was as described but the response to my problem was not. I had my 6 month granddaughter and her 3 year old brother in one of the bedrooms to sleep. We plugged in her baby monitor to listen to the kids as always. I walked back into the room a few minutes later and it was filled with smoke. The brand new monitor plug had melted and the outlet was melting as well. We promptly took the kids and family outside to access the problems and made arrangements to have the kids stay at my brothers on the other side of Tybee. We informed the office the next day were all but told "Sorry, things happen". Again this was my second rental in a row but their complete lack of concern over what could have been a very bad thing bothers me. Stay at your own risk and watch what you plug in! Read more
We can certainly appreciate that a situation like that would be very scary and we are truly sorry that happened to you during your stay at Georgia Sunrise. Please also accept our apology that you felt anyone on our staff did not respond appropriately to your report of this. Maintenance was sent over as soon as you let us know of the issue and they did replace the outlet that was found to be faulty. We are glad that you and your family are okay and would love to have you back to stay with us again.

Our group of 6 included our 2 college age daughters. The location of the property suited us perfectly allowing them to pursue the more boisterous atmosphere by The Pier or to retreat from it for quieter time when needed. The property provided convenient access to dining, shopping and the beach and we would certainly stay here again. In many ways our experience at Tybee was superior to the Jersey shore.

Georgia Sunrise is great house for a family vacation. The view of the ocean, the spectacular deck, and the large sliding glass windows that open up the back of the house, all make for a great "beach house" experience. Having morning coffee on the deck while watching the sunrise was a nice way to start the day, and even though there are houses on each side the house and location always seemed very private. Tybee Vacation Rentals was easy to work with and I look forward to renting from them again. We've traveled the world to many great places but I have to say that Tybee Island is one of my favorite spots on the planet. Now that we have grandkids we thinking we'll plan annual trips to Tybee. If you love nature I'd recommend two things - Doctor Joe's Beach Ecology Tour (the whole family loved it), and renting kayaks at aj's and paddeling to Little Tybee Island (a pristene wilderness beach, practically un-touched by humans - absolutely beautiful).

Tybee Island is beautiful and the beach pristine. The house, Georgia Sunrise, is in a good location mid-island, but is moving towards disrepair. It's on the market and apparently the owner is not interested in keeping up the property. The deck is large and lovely, but shows wear. We couldn't go barefoot. Some of the windows don't open and screens were lacking. Our biggest complaint was that the oven did not work and we had planned several home dinners. The Rental agency was responsive and got someone out to look at it right away, but declared it not repairable. A discount might have been in order but wasn't offered. We wouldn't stay in that house again, but Tybee is just spectacular. Read more
We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay and found Tybee Island to be as beautiful and spectacular as we do. Thank you for the feedback concerning the condition of your rental home. We have shared it with the owner and the oven has been repaired! We set high standards for exceptional guest experience, and work diligently with our owners to ensure they are maintaining their property to exceed our guests expectations. But not all homes are for everyone. For your next visit to Tybee please allow one of our vacation planners to work with you to find the perfect property for your next visit to Tybee. Thanks and see you soon!

"Great house, but..."

Georgia Sunrise is a great place. We loved the house, loved the location, and of course loved the sunrises! What we didn't love was that we had to share our house with a number of huge palmetto bugs. These things are huge and disgusting, and almost gave my poor friend a heart attack each time we ran into one. I mentioned this to the rep who called us while we were there as a courtesy check, and was told that if you live on the beach and near palm trees, expect to see these bugs. This I absolutely understand, however, we've stayed in many other houses with the exact same environment and never had them actually have a number of them living all around the the house with us, crawling on the walls of the bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen floor. I read other reviews from others who had stayed in this house previously, they had the same bug issue. I read also that an exterminator came at that time, he really needs to come back and fix that issue for good. Again, the house was great with location and function, but the experience of staying in it with these nasty things all about us made for an unnerving experience.

Our family spent three weeks at Ga Sunrise during last July and early august. After fifteen years of spending two or three weeks at Tybee each summer, this summer was the first time we had rented from Tybee Vacation Rentals. I cannot say enough about your agency. We found you all to be extremely professional and helpful. After only a day or so at Ga Sunrise, I called regarding the cleanliness of the house; especially the floors/general dusting/cleaning and a problem that we were having with large bugs. As for the floors and general housekeeping, you all sent a manager over to take a look and within a few days, person came who cleaned went over and beyond what we would expect. As for the bugs,an exterminator was sent twice. While the large number of bugs was reduced, we continued to have them. I fully understand ""the beach" but have never seen so many in one house and understand that you all certainly did you part solve to try and solve the problem.
As for Ga Sunrise, we loved the house..the openness and view and privacy that this house affords. We want very much to come back next summer, but are hesitant to rent Ga Sunrise again because of the large number of large bugs...never experienced (only very rarely one or two) in other rental houses during many years.
I am interested in renting with you again for next summer and appreciate your staff and their commitment to service. I plan to come to Tybee this Fall to look at some houses or call and see what else we could locate online or, perhaps, there might be a solution to the bug problem at Ga Sunrise. I fully understand that is related more to owner responsibility more than TVR.
Thank you for what you did to make our vacation one we will remember (and I don't mean only the bugs!!!) :)

We had a wonderful, relaxing time there during the week after Christmas! Especially loved all the glass windows and doors that truly let in the ocean view. Actually, it was more spacious inside than the picture shows. The only negative is the one bathroom upstairs, but that was not much of a problem. We never even used the bathroom downstairs, which would be utilized more to shower off during the summer season. Although ocean front, quite a hike over the dunes to ocean. The grandkids & I loved the hike!

From my first phone call, I was made to feel special. The staff was very warm and answered all my questions. In addition they offered suggestions and really made it easy to make all the arrangements.
The property was better than anticipated. We found the home elegantly decorated, warm and inviting. Of course the name says it all. What a spectacular sunrise, right from the beautiful, large deck. The morning sun coming through the large windows was an invitation to a great day to come.
Everything in the property worked great. There were no issues with any of the amenities.
I also appreciated the follow up-call. That was unexpected and made me feel that you cared about my experience.
I would love to rent this property again.

First the good news. The home has a fantastic location with ready access to the beach. It was quiet although there was construction next door. The back deck is very restful. The kitchen and living room provides nice views.
The not so good news:
The slatted dorrs allow sounds from any room to be heard in all others. Giant cockroaches may be part of life, but dealing with several of them was initially unerving for a tourist. The grill was dirty and did not work until purchased propane. Support under one bed had given way. No cleaning supplies, dish soap, spongue or extra hand or bath soap were provided. There were also no board games we saw. Good news is that all these items can be fixed and the house would be even better.

Perfect. This house was perfect! It had everything we need. It truly felt like home. It was private, the neighbors where blocked by trees and bushes. The path to the beach was very nice as well! The huge wrap around porch is beautiful. At night, my daughter would lay out to see the stars. You could hear the ocean so nicely. Overall, it was wonderful! We will definitely rent this home next year!

This was our first time to Tybee Island and we loved it. The Georgia Sunrise was a great little house. We are a family of four and it suited our needs just fine. We go to the beach to spend almost all our time on the beach not in the house so as long as it is clean and has enough beds that is all we care about. We will defintely be going back and hopefully staying in the same house.

Georgia Sunrise was an excellent beach house with direct access to the beach. We decided to rent a house at the last minute and the representatives at Tybee Vacation Homes were very helpful and accommodating. Initially, I was concerned about the house being old, but once we arrived, my worries drifted away. The deck area was excellent, only drawback was that the home had only one indoor bathroom. Overall, the house was well maintained and felt a little like home.
