“third time at this villa in paradise” we recently stayed at the wonderful Shalini Villa for the third time in three years…we don't even think of staying anywhere else…only one small problem…it is so nice we hardly want to leave the pool and gardens all day and it breaks our hearts every time we ave to leave..could not recommend it more highly for style, comfort, food, service…..nothing is ever too much of a problem for the staff who are so attentive and kind

“Very quiet and relaxing” We had an excellent stay at the cottage with our 2 young children who shared the spare queen bed. Although it was monsoon season there was only limited rain and the house sits up on the hill and catch a good breeze. The fans in the bedrooms are excellent and we did not require the A/C (only available in the main bedroom). The cleaners were discrete and did an excellent job. Each evening we had the pleasant company of frogs and toads singing in the pond. We will most likely stay there again.

“Lovely peaceful house close to Galle and beaches” We stayed for 3 weeks in July/August 2014. The house is lovely and well equipped - it has everything you could need for cooking, and there are lots of places to sit outside in sun or shade and enjoy visits from monkeys, chipmunks and other wildlife. There are fans downstairs and A/C in the bedroom so possible to escape from the heat and sleep soundly. The location was quiet and great for trips to Galle and to Unawatuna (just a tuk-tuk ride away). There are a few nearby shops and the bread man and fish man pass by every morning. Nearby Wijaya beach was very beautiful and safe for swimming in July and there were also nearby beach clubs with pools. The train station and a few shops are just down the road, making it possible to do interesting day trips. Sarath, the owner's father-in-law, looked after us perfectly, in a very unobtrusive way, but always willing to help with everything and very good with children. His wife also cooked amazing meals for us (to go with the delicious seafood we ate at local restaurants). We really enjoyed our time in the house and in beautiful Sri Lanka.

“Amazing experience!” My first trip to Sri Lanka was a truly amazing experience and the icing on the cake was my stay at Frangipani House. The house is set in tranquil surroundings, overlooking paddy fields, a peaceful place to recharge the batteries . Far enough away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to beaches & attractions within minutes- the best of both worlds! Frangipani House & Ranil the property host are first class. Nothing is too much trouble for Ranil, his hosting & cooking skills are superb & second to none, as well as his knowledge of this beautiful country. I would highly recommend a stay at Frangipani House, I can't wait to go back!

“Fabulous pocket paradise” We spent Christmas and New Year at The Petals. It has such a lovely atmosphere, tucked away amongst the rice paddies, a perfect retreat from the bustle of Galle, and right by the beach - easily reached by tuk tuk. The gardens are beautiful and full of birds. We spent evenings eating Upul's delicious curries (far better than any we ate anywhere else), as fireflies floated over the garden, and afternoons by the pool, to which kingfishers were regular visitors. Linda was delightful to deal with and gave us lots of recommendations. We spent a great morning cycling through the surrounding fields and villages, seeing local life. A completely enchanting, delightful spot.

“Well appointed appartment in a convenient location for an memora” The accommodation at Whitemanor is excellent, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The staff are very willing and will go to whatever lenghts possible to please and to make your visit very enjoyable. Ten minutes walk to the beach with it's selection of restaurants and bars, it's location takes you away from the noise and bustle of the tourist area and becomes a relaxing retreat when you want to 'get away from it all'. Galle is a 15 minute tuk tuk drive where you can enjoy the Fort and the shops and markets in the town.

“Beautiful private villa away from the noisy tourist strip” My boyfriend & I stayed with Francesca & Raju for 10 days over Christmas 2013 at Dionis Villa & we had a magical stay. Unawatuna is a gorgeous spot which I had visited the year before but the main road going to the beach can be very busy & noisy especially in the peak season. Dionis Villa felt a million miles away from there in the jungle, though it was only a 7 minute walk to the action. The villa was beautifully set out, very spacious & tasteful furniture, with magnificent views from the roof tower. Francesca & Raju were caring & helpful and on hand when we needed them but left us to our own privacy. They also helped accommodated my brother & sister and their partners at their cousins nearby place, it worked out perfectly. The one improvement I can suggest is a quick spot clean every 5 days or so with fresh towels - something I'm sure they would have done for us but we didn't ask for. I would highly recommend Dionis Villa & would go back in a heartbeat - thanks guys!!

“Perfect, quiet Villa” It? a really beautiful villa, about a 5 min. walk from the beaches. We enjoyed to stay there as a family. Francesca and Raju helped us, whenever we needed help. Thank you very much!
