“A DREAM COME TRUE” My stay at the Taj was one of the most memorable vacations.Given the areas relaxed atmosphere,waking up each morning to the blue sea,watching ships go by,followed by a swim on the beach.ST.Thomas with its unique culture was very inviting as I enjoyed the music and dance performances down town each thursday.Restaurants provided meals not to be forgotten served by some of the friendliest people I have come across. Back at the Taj,some evenings were spent dinning outside taking in beautiful sunsets .Outside of St.Thomas I ventured to St.Johns and St.Croix places that added to my appreciation of the Virgin islands as a destination to enjoy the simple and yet important aspects of life.

“Can't wait to go back!” We loved Villa Mar de amores from the moment we got there. Amazing views, great vibes, lovely decorations, high ceilings, comfy beds, great kitchen, just perfect. It's even nicer than the pictures. We all started smiling when we climbed to the top of the hill in our Jeep. Perfect amount of space for the five of us. Could sit on that deck any time of day and be totally entranced. The owner is great, and the on island managers were also great. We booked the house again for next year before we left!

“Heaven on earth” I want to thank the owner Thursten Cook for another wonderful week at South Sound. The property is located on a private cove with breathtaking views of the Ocean. The property was in great shape with a new refrigerator and a new boat. It is difficult to put into words the feeling of falling asleep at night and hearing the roar of the ocean. As this is our second time at the Villa we are starting to get to know all the citizens. The people on the Island go out of their way to make you feel confortable. “Magical Vacation” Thank You Gail & Curlson for allowing us to rent from you. The instant we got to your place, we felt like we were "home". The location of your property is perfect, a short drive to Red Hook and close to some gorgeous beaches. The villa included many "little" amenities such as beach towels, paper goods, hairdryers, that really made my packing job much easier! The kids had the best time swimming in the pool & hot tub and ask daily when we can go back! I think even breakfast tasted better because we were able to eat it every morning on the patio overlooking St. John and Sapphire Beach. Whenever we had a concern or question, you were a quick phone call or email away. And the place looked exactly as it does in your pictures. This was one of the best vacations our family has ever taken. Thank you from the bottom of my heart - Take Care!

“TreeTops has it all” We are from Minnesota and make a warm weather getaway every winter. We have been to a number of different places but this was our first time to the USVI. Both the destination generally and our stay with June and Steve exceeded our expectations. June called shortly after our arrival and gave us directions that were easy to follow. She was there to greet us on arrival (along with her dogs Buddy, Fred and Ginger) and walked us through the property so we knew beforehand where everything was located. While walking around, she also went through a running list of things to do and see on the island as well as nearby St. John. The best place to get groceries if we wanted to dine in, the best places nearby to go out for dinner, the best places to go to get away from "the tourists" and mingle with the local islanders, and on and on. Way too much to digest at one time. Fortunately, she and Steve were around most of the week so we could ask a second and third and fourth time when we couldn't remember. They were quite accomodating when it came to providing the "extras" like a cooler, snorkel gear and beach chairs so we didn't have to rent when we got to the beach; and we loved the "furry extras" when Buddy, Fred and Ginger periodically came up to visit during our stay. All in all, the convenient location, the wonderful view, the warm breeze making its way up the hill, the comfortable accomodations, and especially the attention we received from June and Steve made this an exceptionally wonderful break from the Minnesota winter!

Review #4627412 Fantastic Villa Our family spent two unforgettable weeks in late July and early august at Calicaribe, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, We can't say enough about Calicaribe. We loved the villa -- its layout and tasteful decor. The views of St Thomas, other islands, and Cruz Bay from the property, especially the guest house and the pool area, are breathtaking. Although the heat and humidity were high during the peak hours of each day, temperatures and humidity lowered late in the afternoon so that we could enjoy wine and cheese and the view, including spectacular sunsets, on the patio and dinner on the verandah. Pictures of the property on various websites don't do it justice. Calicaribe is much better than we expected. It is clean and very well maintained. Calicaribe is blessed with an excellent local property manager, Steve Black, who has lived in Cruz Bay for 25 years and is a constructive civic activist. Whenever we needed anything, Steve was prompt in his response. St John is truly paradise. We were fortunate to have a rental jeep to get around the island and to have our daughter and her partner do all the driving. The roads are challenging because the island is very hilly and the roads have very sharp turns, which means that one does not need to worry about exceeding the 20 mph speed limit. Opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving abound. The beaches (St John has 39 of them) are beautiful. We swam at four of them: Trunk Bay, Little Lameshur Bay, Hawksnest Bay, and Maho Bay. We ate out only three times because my daughter's partner loves to cook, and having dinner on the verandah was a pleasant experience. The Fish Trap and Zozo's are excellent restaurants in Cruz Bay, although the latter may be too expensive for some folks. We highly recommend a sojourn at Calicaribe. You'll get plenty of bang for your bucks.

“Amazing Vacation Rental” I have stayed at this property owner's other rental and did not think I could top that..I was wrong! This property was just as, if not more gorgeous than her other place, Mimosa. The views were amazing and we always felt like we exploring the island, even if we never left the villa. One thing that made this great was how easy it was to talk to and work with the owner, easiest vacation I have ever planned. The place was clean and bug/dirt free. I have stayed in quite a few places around St. John and this is by far the nicest. I already booked my vacation for next winter at this property and can't wait. It is private but still has easy access to hiking, swimming, getting to town, it is just an all around great place and I cannot wait to go back. I highly recommend this rental, and I'm picky!
