Above the banks of the picturesque River Usk. Adjoining two golf courses and a nature reserve. Secluded and peaceful but not isolated.
This cottage is about 15 minutes drive from Tintern and the magnificent Wye Calley and in the opposite direction 10 minutes by car will take you to Abergavenny. pretty market town witha brilliant International Food Festival. and gateway to the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Usk ( 5 mins drive) is a beautiful and historic little place with a great reputation for its summer floral displays and excellent summer and winter festivals. Great range of pubs and eateries plus the unmissable Castle! . Winner of Britain in Bloom for many years even the Fish and Chip shop has hanging baskets!
Whether your choice is visiting castles, Abbeys, Museums, walking or fishing this cottage is perfectly located. In addition we are a superbly convenient location for playing Golf. The Ryder Cup courses are 10 minutes drive by car, there is a golf course right next door - and 20 within a one hour radius. Amazing.
If watching sport is your preference drive ( 45 mins) or take a train from Abergavenny to Cardiff where the Millennium stadium with its international matches awaits you as does world class shopping, opera, concerts and the Dr Who exhibition.. Come and see!
We have off road parking for one large car.
There is no bus service and taxis tend to be expensive so we strongly recommend a car or cycles for this cottage. There are trains From Abergavenny ( approx 6 miles).
Walking is wonderful and varied and right from the doorstep or drive a little way for a huge cariety of scenery depending which direction you choose..
