“Good chalet - lovely resort”

“Vallandry chalet”
Excellent chalet. Very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. With 10 of us we could have done with a third toilet, so two toilets for 12 would be a struggle, but otherwise superb!

“This was the perfect chalet for our group and can thoroughly recommend it!”
We picked Vallandry and the Chardon Bleu chalet as a random choice. The chalet matched our needs for our group size and Vallandry offered access to all of Les Arcs and La Plagne ski regions. Having just returned, I am pleased to say what a wonderful choice we made. The Chardon Bleu is a lovely chalet with ample room for all of us. The photos do it justice (but do not capture the lovely view off the balcony). The chalet is just off the main (quiet) road through Vallandry, down a steep-ish slope (ok for 4x4's to get down and park when not covered in snow/ice). Might be tricky getting down there in mid-winter with snow all over it, but we were ok as it was just gravel whilst we were there. The chalet was really clean and had all the amenities we needed. The 5 children had their own large bedroom upstairs which was great, whilst the other bedrooms upstairs and downstairs (1 double and 1 twin both upstairs and downstairs) are of a good size for all the rest of us, with separate bathrooms and toilets. Nice communal living room was easily big enough for all of us to sit around and play games in on most evenings! Vallandry is quiet, with a small handful of bars and restaurants and one small supermarket. The Mont Blanc bar, a little higher up the slope, is English-run and provided a good atmosphere, great service, sports tv, live music (some nights) and decent food, for the nights we fancied getting out. Peisey is just up the road and has more facilities (doctors, pharmacy, more shops) and is where you can get the Valoise cable-car to La Plagne, but we only used that once as Les Arcs had everything we needed. It was really warm most evenings whilst we were there and we were skiing all day and sitting out on the balcony in shorts and t-shirts some evenings, watching the sun go down. A little piece of paradise for a short while. PVR were very helpful. We didn't really need to bother them during our stay except to pick up the keys, and return them at the end. They were great answering all my queries leading up to our holiday.

“Lovely big chalet in a great location”
We used this chalet for a group of 10 friends to go on a ski holiday - and it was a great find. The chalet has lots of space, with a log fire, sitting room, long dining table, fully equipped kitchen and five big bedrooms. It is in a perfect location not too far from the lifts (only a 5 min walk in ski boots) and has stunning views across the valley. PVR who rent the chalet were very helpful, assisting with taxi booking, bread deliveries, ski lift pass hire and answering our endless email questions. Our group is a mixed level of skiers from beginners to experts and everyone enjoyed the Paradiski area as well, as there is a great range on offer. Vallandry itself has a few good bars and restaurants, it is not a pumping party town - but being a group of 10, we weren't bothered by that, and enjoyed a few aprés drinks off the slopes before enjoying the chalet. We have stayed in a lot of self-catered ski chalets and this is by far the best one we've found. We will be back!
