Additional Location Information

A holiday in Malta can take many guises. Visitors come here for the history, the archaeology, the friendly locals, the Mediterranean cuisine, the winter sun and the sea. Some come out of interest for ecclesiastic art, the excellent examples of baroque architecture and to see for themselves some of the oldest prehistoric temples. Others have heard that it's great for diving and sailing.

Staying in “the city built by gentlemen for gentlemen” adds value to the equation, making the experience one to remember. Away from the usual tourist resorts, Valletta G-House is in the heart of the city's life and history. Valletta itself is built on a human scale, clustered in a tight grid of narrow streets behind grand fortifications. With its baroque architecture and floodlit bastions, numerous beautiful churches, palaces and lively people, it is a delightful city. Its slightly faded glory and its Grand Harbour are memorable (do take the water taxi view the high fortifications from the sea. Everything is within walking distance and, as we all know, there is no better way to see and experience the city than on foot.

Plenty of small restaurants and cafes, a historic theatre and an open air one, cinema and plenty museums close by.
