Imagine a nice small cottage in the wood, imagine to enjoy the silence and peace that only wonderful and high trees can guarantee, imagine blue sky, nice flowers and long walks, immagine to be alone in the beauty of nature...what else would you need? All the comforts of modern life, a wonderful lake to explore and important facilities, like a swimming pool, a tennis court, wifi connection, and a bar within walking distance. This is what Dino's house offers to its guests together with an elegant and linear style which create a very welcoming atmosphere
The nice cottage is composed by two floors. At the ground floor the nice double room proposes a simple forniture with colours related to the materials used in whole house: green like the garden, different nuances from brown like the wood and white to keep the lumimous feeling of all spaces. The ensuite shower room is also stylish and essential. Upstairs is a cozy living room with fireplace, TV, and dining table. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences and includes a furnished outdoor terrace, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. Dino's house includes the use of our new shared pool, just steps away from the house. Useful Information
Dino and Giorgio are about 50 meters away therefore rented together could be convenient for a party of six people looking for at least one room at the ground floor.
The lake is shaped like an upside-down "Y" and the beautiful towns of Como and Lecco sit at the ends of the southwestern and southeastern branches respectively. Dino's house is situated on the north west side of the lake. The town of Varenna, on the eastern shore of Lake Como across from Bellagio, is arguably a better base for exploring the lake than popular (and crowded) Bellagio. While far less famous than Bellagio, its also less touristy and more rewarding to visit. Varenna has a waterfront promenade, two small churches on the main square with medieval and baroque frescoes, the half-ruined 14th-century Castello di Vezio high above town at the end of a stiff 20-minute hike and two villas-with-gardens to wander: Villa Monastero, and Villa Cipressi. The best way to visit the rest of Lake Como is by boat. There is a public boat service that takes you to Como with its historical centre and fascinating Silk Museum; private boat services are also available for hire. Como has been an important silk manufacturing town for many centuries, and to this day Como's silk is still considered to be among the best for quality. Another nearby excursion is to Bellagio, the "pearl of the lake". It has often been described as the prettiest village in Europe with its charming historic centre; from here you can also visit the beautiful Villa Melzi with its ornamental gardens, or sail over to Comacina Island - the only island on the lake. From Como you can also take a funicular ride to Brunate - a hill-top town with magnificent views over the city, the lake and its surrounding mountains. On the other side of the lake you can visit Lecco, the town mentioned by Alessandro Manzoni in his famous book "The Betrothed".TripAdvisor property ID 4427610...Read more
