A terrific penthouse perfect for six, up 'in the gods' of the impressive 15th Century Gothic 'Palazzo Loredan Dell’ Ambasciatore' on the Grand Canal in the Dorsoduro area of the city. Enjoying breathtaking views from its two amazing terraces and superbly located between the Accademia Bridge/ Academy of Fine Arts and the Ca’ Rezzonico Museum of 18th Century Art/ vaporetto stop, close to Campo San Barnaba and opposite Francois Pinault's Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art.
Sitting exclusively in splendid isolation on the very top floor of one of the finest palazzi in Venice (birthplace of two ancient Doges of Venice - Leonardo Loredan (1501-21) and Francesco Loredan (1752-62)) and benefitting from plenty of light and 'airiness' as a result, Ca' Cerchieri Terrace offers private water access for speedy, stylish and fuss-free arrivals by private water taxi and is reached by lift taken to the third floor, leaving one flight of stairs to ascend on foot.
In addition to a heavy sprinkling of fine period furnishings and quietly sophisticated touches, the apartment maintains an attractively casual, laid-back and unpretentious quality - ideal for settling in and feeling 'at one' with your fabulously Venetian and very aristocratic surroundings from the moment you arrive, while rich wooden flooring and independent air-conditioning throughout, satellite TV, wireless internet connection and a small laundry room with washing machine ensure that all the comforts and conveniences of modern living are at your fingertips for the duration of your stay.
There's an elegant living room with comfy seating and wide French windows opening onto a superb terrace (with seating space for six) offering wonderful panoramic vistas over seemingly endless rooftops and bell-towers, a separate dining area seating eight and a fully-equipped kitchen/ breakfast room with dapple-grey granite work surfaces, Grand Canal views and all the appliances one could possibly wish for, including a large fridge with icemaker, microwave and numerous coffee-makers to name just a few.
There are three stylish bedrooms - a beautiful master with star-embellished double bed and French windows opening onto a private terrace with mesmerising Grand Canal views to swoon over (impossibly romantic!) and its own en suite bathroom with bathtub, a second double bedroom with double bed enjoying views towards the Accademia Bridge and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection (again with an en suite bathroom with bathtub), a third bedroom with twin beds (which can be made into a double - please ask when booking) and an en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, while a fourth 'hallway' bathroom with w.c. and shower completes the accommodation.
Are you a part of a larger group who would like to stay close together at the Palazzo? Other apartments available at this prestigious property include Ca' Cerchieri 1, Ca' Cerchieri 3, Ca' Cerchieri Mezzanine, and the spectacular Ca' Cerchieri Piano Nobile.
Rental price includes GAS, ELECTRICITY, LINEN and FINAL CLEANING
One of our absolute favourites and an all-round extraordinary property, offering comfort, space and spectacular views from an unrivalled position in one of Venice's loveliest areas.
Unreservedly recommended to those seeking an unforgettable added dimension to their experience of the city....Read more
"Views of the canal, churches and roofs of Venice from your comfo"

Views on Venice are an excellent company. What they say about their flats is really true. This is a beautifully fitted flat with all comforts but a really traditional feel - you get the best of good craftsmanship and feeling you are part of a palazzo. We went in December and were really warm and cosy in our top floor flat with wonderful skyscapes, roofscapes and of course the canal. We enjoyed the space, the good kitchen and good bathrooms as well as access to the lovely area and the Calle S. Barnaba.

This large, beautiful apartment was perfect for our group of six which included two married couples and 2 teenagers. Each married couple had their own bedroom and then the two teenagers shared the twin bedded room. We had plenty of space.
One of the master bedrooms had a balcony which looked out over a beautiful curve of the grand canal. At night my husband and I sat out on the balcony drinking proseco and watching the boats on the canal. It was truly one of the most romantic things we've done since our honeymoon.
There is a second, much larger balcony off the living room which overlooks tiled roofs, bell towers, and the lagoon in the distance where we could all sit together. You could even watch cruise ships go by from there.
The location of the apartment in the quiter Dorsoduro district is perfect. We were minutes from the lovely Campo San Barnaba with its restaurants and gelato shop and just a little further to a bakery, grocery store, and another campo with more restaurants. Also very close to a Vaporetto stop and walking distance to the accademia.
If I came back to Venice with several people again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The view of the grand canal alone from the bedroom balcony is worth it.
Also, arrival couldn't have been easier with a water taxi arranged through Views on Venice taking us to the private water dock and picking us up at the end of the stay. That actually was the biggest hit with the kids!
That's wonderful news - thanks so much for letting us know. Hoping you and your family were able to enjoy a few of the Biennale piano performances and sculptures during your stay at the Palazzo and that we have the pleasure of seeing you again soon.
Ciao e Grazie
