Description - Entering the apartment, you will be embraced by a pleasant feeling of warmth, this due to the choice of materials, wooden flooring, walls in gold finish, bronze-coloured furniture, everything recalling the Venetian royalty but with a modern twist. The apartment is much appreciated for the bright spaces, thanks to the many windows that overlook the typical Venetian roofs. Completely provided with exposed beams and decorated with luxurious furniture, it consists of an elegant living room with a sofa, a modern kitchen completely equipped with dishwasher, two bedrooms, one of which furnished with a romantic canopy bed and a bathroom with a refined golden mosaic. The available services are: heating, traditional oven, air conditioning, microwave, hairdryer, TV, dishwasher and baby cot (to be requested).

Location - Located in a central and quiet area of Venice in the Cannaregio district (so called from the Canal Regio which connects the Canal Grande to the Laguna), the heart of the authentic Venice, Leon D’oro is only a short walk from Rialto Bridge and Cà d’Oro and a few blocks away from San Marco. From the apartment it takes you only 5 minutes to reach Rialto Bridge, the lively commercial heart of Venice, with the typical jewellery and souvenir shops located under the arcade, and at close distance from the colorful fruits and vegetables and fish markets. Piazza San Marco is just 10 minute away of pleasant walk through the alleys and squares, all lined with shops and boutiques for both the elegant and traditional shopping. Forever considered the heart of faith and long time ago also the center of the power of Serenissima (the old Republic of Venice) Piazza San Marco is always a pleasure to visit. The apartment is also very close to some masterpieces of Art and History of the city, less visited and known, nevertheless still fascinating and evocative, worth to be seen during your stay in Venice: the Casino of Venice at Cà Vendramin Calergi, the most beautiful 16th century’s Venetian civil architecture, also home of the Wagner Museum (the famous German composer who lived there and died in 1883), and the church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli, a delightful treasure of Renaissance polychrome marbles. Leon D’oro is located 300 meters away from the jetties Cà d’Oro and Fondamenta Nuove. With the ferries that leave from the Cà d’Oro pier, along the Grand Canal, you reach the Gallerie dell’Accademia (where there are kept the paintings of Giorgione, the master of the 16th century’s Veneto, to whom the hotel is dedicated), the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Giardini della Biennale. With the ferries that leave from Fondamenta Nuove you reach the beautiful islands of the Lagoon, Murano, Burano and Torcello.

Response from the manager Siamo molto sorpresi nel leggere la sua recensione. Quando vi abbiamo contattati prima dell’arrivo per informarvi dello spostamento di appartamento, la collega vi aveva sottoposto 3 diversi appartamenti fornendovi i link per poterli visionare e scegliere quello che più si adattava alle vostre esigenze. Il Leon d’Oro l’avete scelto voi ed il fatto che fosse al terzo piano non era un mistero. La collega dell’ufficio manutenzione ci ha riferito che le avevate notificato solo il problema con la caldaia sabato mattina. Lei vi aveva detto come farla ripartire e che rimaneva a disposizione. La sera vi siete risentiti per il persistere del problema e, ad una nostra proposta di cambiarvi di appartamento, non avete comunque più dato seguito. Non avete quindi riferito nulla in merito alla pulizia. Ci spiace molto che siate rimasti delusi dal soggiorno, ma problemi con la caldaia purtroppo si possono verificare in qualsiasi casa e saremmo intervenuti volentieri se solo ci aveste notificato tempestivamente anche l’eventuale problema della pulizia. Cordiali saluti.
