This apartment is located in a beautiful palazzo located in a quiet part of Venice, in the northwest district Cannaregio. The sidewalk of the main canal in this part of the city (Fondamenta di Cannaregio) is just a few meters from the apartment, and the vaporetto stop is just opposite the canal. Therefore, San Marco square and the other main points of interest are within easy reach. Santa Lucia train station can be reached within 10 minutes on foot or by vaporetto (line 51). You can also take this line to Piazzale Roma, and if you fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport you can take a vaporetto from the airport to Fondamenta Nove.
Grocery stores, a pharmacy, bars, post office and restaurants are no more than 5 minutes on foot. We particularly recommend Trattoria Marisa just next to the apartment. Here you can also order delicious meals to take away. The main points of interest San Marco, the Accademia, and Chiesa della Salute can be reached in 15-20 minutes on foot and, of course, by vaporetto. One of the nicest things about the apartment is that is is centrally located, with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, yet it is away from the crowds, even during the busy tourist season.
This apartment is part of a gated property. You enter through the garden belonging to the condominium. There are other apartments sharing the entrance a part of the communal garden of the same property. In the past this group of houses used to be called barchesse (wings) of a palazzo dating back to the 16th century. The apartment is located on the ground floor of an ancient but completely restored building. The private terrace is equipped with table and chairs - a perfect spot to rest after a day spent visiting one of the most incredible cities of the world. Arco sleeps 4 people, one adult or 2 children can be accommodated additionally.
Venice is magical, particularly off-season. Travel on foot, by boat, vaporetto or gondola, with 400 bridges, 118 islands and countless streets of water to explore. Visit open-air markets, shops and museums, Accademia, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Ducal Palace, San Marco, Maritime Museum, Glass Art Museum, Lake Museum, and Ca’Rezzonico 18th-century Venetian Museum. Visit the fabulous La Fenice opera hall, completely rebuilt since the famous fire. Take a boat to the beach or down the Brenta Riviera to Padua. Think of Venice for honeymoons, masks, glass, jewelry & lace.
Additional amenities include: small fridge, electric water kettle, gas range, iron and ironing board.TripAdvisor property ID 2049375...Read more

We enjoyed our stay in the vacation home arcor in Venice very much. This place is really recommendable - with one exception. Franco doesn't care at all. We asked for help with the television channels and for one new lightbulb in the bedroom (the old one was blown), both of which never came. So here some understanding of client orientation would be a good idea.
Everything else was fine and met our expectations.
