Description
Completed in 2007 and designed by noted architect Stanley Hutchinson,
Casa Angular is known as one of the few truly remarkable homes on the island
of Vieques. Situated on almost 3 acres, Casa Angular offers a private setting
in which to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding jungle, as well as
spectacular views of the Caribbean and the Cayos of Esperanza. On a
clear day, you can even see the island of St. Croix in the distance.
The villa offers convenient single-level living and can comfortably
accommodate 4 guests. One master suite contains a king-sized bed.
The second bedroom is identical in size and contains two twin-sized
beds on rollers that can be joined together to make a king-sized bed
if desired.
All bedding is of the highest-quality, and both bedrooms include
modern wood and concrete furnishings, luxuriously appointed bathrooms
with double concrete sinks, and private outdoor showers.
The kitchen, living, and dining areas at Angular are all located at the
center of the home and overlook the poolside deck and expansive
property beyond the pool. The kitchen contains high-quality stainless
steel appliances, a large concrete island, and all the equipment
needed for gourmet cooking. Additionally, there is a gas grill and sink
outside by the pool. The dining table is concrete with comfortable
modern chairs, and the living room and poolside deck offer several
relaxing seating options. All doors open completely for seamless
indoor/outdoor living, and all windows are screened to keep out insects and rain when necessary.
Angular is an ideal escape from everyday life, but satellite television
and high-speed Internet are provided for those who choose to remain
connected to the outside world. Also, while the villa is located off the
beaten path in a quiet area known as Puerto Real, it is easily
accessible by car and not far from the town of Esperanza.

Response from the owner Thank you for the mostly positive review, albeit 8 months after your stay. We routinely have two couples or a family of four stay in the house. We have NEVER had anyone complain or suggest that the deck or any other area is too small for a party of 4. Additionally, the pool is clearly a plunge pool and is not advertised as a lap pool . As far as the noise level is concerned I'm not sure how to respond. Vieques is not Gilligan's Island as there are phones, lights, motor cars and many luxuries here. There is also electricity which people can use to play music. The house is extremely private but ambient noise can be heard anywhere. This is, after all, an island villa, not a soundproof recording studio.
