Located right in the heart of historic Gaia, our Charm Guest House Douro is the ideal choice for those who like to drown in its picturesque streets and feel the pulse of the local people.
With a privileged view of Gaia`s typical neighborhood, is located at Rua Cândido dos Reis, lying 50 meters from the docks and 25 meters from the Sandeman Cellars and the recent space of Porto Cruz, a project created to celebrate the Port wine culture.

HISTORY
The territory of Vila Nova de Gaia was busy from the second half of the eighteenth century with the construction of numerous warehouses of Port wine and other traditional activities such as woodwork and metalwork. With the recent recovery and revitalization of the historic centers policies, the landscape of the riverside area of Vila Nova de Gaia has a new commercial and tourist dynamics that revolves around hospitality activities, restaurants and leisure. The Charm Guest House Douro appears in this context of regeneration and revitalization of the city as a modern space preserving and valuing their historical and cultural identity.

CONCEPT & ACCOMMODATION
The Charm Guest House Douro is an attic space that provides an excellent service to its guests. This accommodation occupies a historic building of the nineteenth century, with 4 floors without elevator, which was completely renovated in an urban chic concept that gives it an intimate and friendly atmosphere. The 7 rooms, including a suite with access to a terrace facing the river Douro, have a lot of light and a comfortable and contemporary decor alluding to cultural marks of the Douro region. Although following the same line, each room is special and unique as they have different colors and decorative elements.
