A wonderful, warm and lovingly restored old church with amazing character and great facilities

Left on Feb 01, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

We really enjoyed all the space, the different little sitting areas, the lovely downstairs lounge to be together for films and the excellent dining and kitchen area. The owner was delightful to communicate with and guests' comfort was clearly a priority. The setting is fantastic and we went on local walks as well as visiting Kielder Water. Charming and friendly

Left on Dec 02, 2009 for a stay in May 2008

We stayed in South tyne Cottage in the Spring. The Cottage was clean and just right. The upstairs bedroom was roomy but the sloping roof over the bath made it impossible to stand up and shower - soon got used to it kneeling down. There is a railway bridge right next door and a train rumbles across ocassionally but that only added charm to the place. The pub next door (I think was called the …

Great stay in the warm cosy lodge.

We stayed in the Lodge over Christmas.

The layout has been well thought out and has everything that we wanted for the stay, we were glad to see that the Lodge has a bath as it is not mentioned on Sykes Cottages, who we booked through.

The Lodge is in an excellent location and has wonderful views of the valley, even from indoors, with the blinds open.
