“Well-equipped, reasonably priced, cozy house near metro and groc”
Left on 03/19/2014 for a stay in February 2014 | J.H.Reviewed Mar 19, 2014Stayed Feb 2014
This property had the best-equipped kitchen I have encountered in these types of rental accommodations. Large supply of utensils, a griddle for pancakes, generous variety of pots/pans and dinnerware. Only missing items were a cutting board, measuring spoons, and an oven glove. As I was spending more than a week there, I greatly appreciated that I was really able to cook meals rather than just heat microwaveable items. Nice spacious dining room was well lit; living room was cozy and also well furnished.Bed in master was very comfortable; towels were plush and plentiful. Just a two-block walk to the Potomac ave. metro station and three from groceries at Harris Teeter. Hosts very helpful over email and also provided in advance comprehensive information about the house and various attractions for those unfamiliar with D.C. area. I would definitely book this accommodation again, especially for non-winter months. Heating the two-story unit proved tricky as heat rose upstairs and glass doors from kitchen to back patio kept kitchen chillier than I liked.
