Walk to Beach; 5 bedroom, 4 ba, Cape Cod Farmhouse
(Linens are provided, but a $200 credit off of list price is given if you bring your own linens or rent from Essential Rentals.)
This farmhouse is a joy and it's everything you'd hope for - a hammock, swing, picnic tables, sheep, flowers, games, a porch, a sun room, and just less than 1/2 mile to 3 different Nantucket Sound beaches. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and an outdoor shower. And this little 1/2 acre farm puts out a whole crop of Saturdays! Enjoy lush gardens and lots of privacy. There is a wonderful wooden swing and a double-wide cotton hammock for relaxing.
Sea View Park is just 1/3 mile away. It includes Sea View Beach, walking trails, a children's play area and gardens. It is just 1/2 mile to 2 other beaches - Belmont and Sea Street Beach and just a little further to many more beaches. The Harwich Conservation Land is just over 1/2 mile away; here there are hundreds of acres of bike trails, lakes, rivers and ponds and cranberry bogs.
Wonderful restaurants are nearby like Ocean House and The Oyster Company, in addition to fish and chips, pizza and ice cream
In the fall and winter the fireplace is available and in the summer the outdoor fire pit is a treat. There are 2 small, lovable sheep on the property. They are our quiet lawnmowers. They are very child friendly. We're happy to share them with your family or if you'd be more comfortable if we did not let them graze while you are there, we are okay with that too. We can arrange a wagon ride from the Baa Boys upon request. As far as we know, they are the world's only wagon pulling sheep and can pull over 200 pounds.
We will prepare the house beautifully for your arrival and provide the key to your own private Cape Cod week of Saturdays. You will not be working with a management company - only the owners (Cindy and Harry). Your enjoyment and comfort is what we are working toward.
Light, roomy and relaxing, the living room, sun room and den provide several seating areas and an extensive library of books, movies, and board games. You can enjoy sunning or reading outside on one of the many Adirondack chairs where there are fragrant flowers in the front yard and backyard gardens. Outdoor games and a picnic table is placed for a great family picnic. (Additional folding tables are available.)
This house has been an inspiration for artists and photographers.

Renting from Cindy and Harry is like renting from friends of your family. They treat you special, like you are family. My friends and I have stayed here several years and keep returning because we are never able to do everything we want to do...both in the area and at the house. This year we finally used the huge gas grill and cooked harpoon swordfish, grilled romaine, shrimp shish ka bob and went kayaking on the Swar Pond River. But we still didn't get to have our night by the fire pit and cook some-mores. Guess we have to come back again :)The house is meticulously decorated with fresh flowers and all sorts of special touches. And the Baa boys(the lambs) are precious. Usually they mind their own business and you don't even know they are there, except the occasional tinkle of their bell around their neck.
Don't pass up the opportunity to stay in this quaint home that is well maintained and loved by it's owners, Harry and Cindy.

From beginning to end, this was the absolute perfect place to stay on our Cape Cod adventure. The house was about as charming as you could get. We had 12 of us amazingly fit, with the rooms being so spacious. There were nooks and crannies with the cutest little details, book shelves for readers, games, a wonderful outdoor shower... Cindy and Harry have really put some thought and loving care into maintaining this beautiful house. We had family staying at several other locations and every night they all ended up here, usually around the fire pit. It's just a warm and friendly place to be. I must mention the 2 sheep that were on the property... adorable!! A nice walk to the beach and stores but really, at the end of the day, we just loved hanging out at the house.

I had a wonderful vacation at the "Saturday's” Farm with my daughters. I am 88 years old and handicapped. I need my walker or wheelchair to get around inside the house and I'm limited to a wheelchair everywhere else. I was delighted to be able to function as independently in the farmhouse as well as I do in my own home. When traveling, I also bring a board with an attached bed rail and a raised seat for the bathroom. Upon arrival, we were cheerfully welcomed by Harry and Cindy, the owners. They are a genuinely sincere and lovely couple and were more than willing to help us. Without my daughters asking for assistance, Harry pleasantly put the bed board and rail on my bed as well as the raised seat in my bathroom. (A handicap rail was already in place in the bathroom.) Cindy also told us the Harwich Council on aging has equipment available and that some items could be reserved. In fact, we were able to use a special wheelchair with "blow-up” wheels to maneuver around the beach.
I fell in love with the house from the second I entered. Each room is charmingly decorated with considerable thought given to comfort, color and roominess. The selection of color schemes, furniture and special touches are tailored to the function of each room. The library, with a large selection of books, games and Dvd's, is designed to encourage guests to curl up on a couch and relax. My favorite room is the porch/wicker room. This amazing room offers privacy, an abundance of light, color and wicker furniture covered in comfy cushions.
I was also able to spend a great deal of time outside. I could view the stunning gardens from the shade of any number of trees and we cooked many of our meals on the grill and ate at the picnic table.
I recommend, without qualifications, Harry's and Cindy's vacation house to young and old (and everyone in between), couples, families, and friends.
There is no limit to what can grow from a crop of Saturdays when friends and family come together here.

Harry & Cindy, I'm not very good at writing reviews and rarely do; however, I felt compelled to do so after my stay at 'Saturday Farm.' Your hospitality, attention to detail & thoughtfulness were extraoridinary. I loved going antiquing, walking through the Conservation Land & having dinner on the beach. Not to mention, walking around the property & viewing the beautiful gardens as well as relaxing in the sunroom & living rooms. The house is furnished with the most unique & comfortable furnishings. Of course, I must mention your pets (sheep) Bromley & Jobey---what a joy to watch & pet. Hope to see you again next year.

Look no further if you are seeking the perfect getaway vacation spot!
The owners, Harry & Cindy, are friendly, accommodating and truly a pleasure to be around. Their warmth and enthusiasm put us at ease the second we arrived.
The house far exceeded our hopes and expectations. The entire property is cheerful and spacious with lots of light, while offering privacy and an ideal location. The inside of the house is charming and roomy and the furnishings bright and comfortable - a combination that provides a homey and tranquil atmosphere that encouraged even my husband, a workaholic, to relax amd unwind! The house was immaculate with a well stocked kitchen and freshly laundered linens. I was astonished to find thoughtful touches throughout the house that were geared specifically to some of our interests. For example, I spotted a book by my favorite author on the bedroom nightstand and a few Comedy Dvd's (my sister's favorites) were set in the tv room. Most endearing was when Cindy brought my mother, who had been feeling nauseous, a cup of Ginger Tea to help settle her stomach (and it worked). The owners pay close attention to little details.
We also enjoyed finding a number of intriguing and unique items, such as the cast iron clawfoot bathtubs and the clever 2nd floor banister. Equally enjoyable was the opportunity to admire samples of Cindy's vibrant artwork hung throughout the house.
Outside, we were charmed by the well maintained property with its diverse and engaging attractions. I especially enjoyed the gardens that were not only stunning but functional with their offerings of fresh herbs. Everyone loved the evening bonfires in the fire pit as we all agreed that the mere presence of a bonfire pretty much demanded we roast s'mores and consume large numbers of them!
The location affords itself ample opportunities for everyone's interests.
I would highly recommend this house to couples of all ages, families - large and small, extended families and friends

I travel quite a bit, work in the travel industry, and have rented many vacation homes-- trust me when I tell you that this is an outstanding place to stay! The house is very lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean, gorgeous wide-plank hardwood floors, has 3 living rooms for spreading out, 5 nice bedrooms (all good- no lemons in the bunch), lots of bathrooms and clawfoot tubs, and the beauty is that every bedroom basically has its own bathroom, either attached or adjoining. The linens are high-quality too. The owner has great taste and the house is sunny and charming. The kitchen has all you could want and is a nice mix of functional with a cool touch of an antique (but working) stove. The huge yard is fenced in and filled with flowers, a fire pit for smores, an outdoor, enclosed shower (the best!), a grill, a hammock..I could go on and on. The sheep are very cute and gentle. We have been to the Cape many times and have family in the West Harwich and they all were in love with our summer rental. And finally the helpful owners live on a separate property nearby so any questions or needs are promptly answered. The location is great- close to the beach and to town as well. We will return!

My spouse and I wanted a small, intimate place to enjoy the company of our immediate family and celebrate our wedding ceremony. Saturday from that and much more. Cindy and Harry were professional, responsive, and a real joy. They both helped in creating a welcoming environment. They were both attentive to all of our needs and respectful of our privacy.
The house was well maintained and the grounds were exactly what we imagined they would be like. The gardens and fire pit were the perfect setting for our ceremony. Oh, did I mention the Baa Brothers? The two of them were adorable and approachable. We even got them into some of our wedding photos.
The short walk to the beach on hot summer days was great. There are several wonderful restaurants within walking distance as well. We can't wait to go back for one of our upcoming anniversaries.
Perhaps the greatest testament to the type of folks Cindy and Harry are is that we continue to stay in contact with them. If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and welcoming location for your next vacation or celebration, we highly recommend Saturday Farm.
