This was a great property, it felt exactly like home, right down to the spices in the cupboard and the movies and books in the bookcase. We forgot aluminum foil so stopped at a convenience store to get some but we wouldn't have needed to as there was some in the kitchen drawer along with plastic wrap and even parchment paper! We really appreciated the 4 king beds; everyone had lots of privacy and comfort. There were plenty of dishes, bath towels and pretty much anything else you might need. And Montana Vacation Rentals was just great to work with, we asked for an early check in and late check out and they said no problem! We made some last minute changes which they were very gracious about too. They made everything so easy, we just had to pull up and unload! It was just like borrowing a friend's house for a few days. We snowmobiled right up to the front door, had lunch and then out again for the afternoon. It was a wonderful experience; I would highly recommend this rental. We will definitely be coming back!

The house is good and the swing outside is a plus. I have stayed at this house before and this is why i returned here again after 3 years with more friends.
We had two issues with the house this time - the toilet downstairs got clogged twice. Also the shower downstairs had cold water after a couple of baths in the morning. Good part was that after calling montana home, they fixed the problem on the same day.
However I asked for some refund as we lost 2 hours on more than 2 days of our stay and was told by them that they will get back to me. Now one has got back to me yet and I consider this a bad customer service. If a group of 11 people stay in a house and 2 of the 4 toilets are clogged, it does take more time in the morning to leave the home for park.

My husband and I took our 4 kids (ages 8-15) to Yellowstone NP this past June/July. We had also invited other family members to join us; hence the reason for needing such a large home. The house worked out great for our families. We had enough room to spread out; however we weren't in the home much as we were out exploring the park, but when we were we enjoyed the space. The deck was a favorite place to hang out as well. The only drawback was that the property was not set super far back off of the road but it appeared that most homes in the surrounding areas situated in the same way so this home was no different. We had an incident in which one of utilities overflowed (our fault) but when called upon someone came out very quickly to resolve the issue. Perhaps the only suggestion I would give to the property management/owners would be to stock some of the basics in the kitchen; for example sugar and provide extra pillows and blankets. We had a couple of teenagers that slept on couches, fortunately we had brought a couple of sleeping bags.
Thanks for letting us and future travelers know about your experience at Lone Pine Lodge and as our guests. So glad it was a good trip. Thank you, too, for the suggestions. There should be kitchen basics stocked for you as well as some extra bedding. We will make sure that that's remedied for the next guests. We hope that you will stay with us again sometime soon.

We were a group of 9 adult family members who planned to use the house as our home base for a vacation to Yellowstone Park. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. It worked out great to have an upstairs living area and downstairs living area. The guys were able to watch a movie while the girls visited. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was very close to West Yellowstone where there was shopping and places to eat. We would highly recommend the home and would use it again when our next Yellowstone trip is planned.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Lone Pine Lodge near West Yellowstone. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us on the trip. The bedrooms were big and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans and other cooking items (including a crockpot, which was very nice.) Having two TV rooms was nice because - when you're traveling with people ranging in age from 2 to 65 - you get a wide range of TV viewing habits. And being able to do laundry on any trip is an added bonus, so we appreciated the washer and dryer. Overall, it was just a lovely, comfortable home, and we would definitely consider renting a vacation property from Mountain Homes again in the future.
"Great log home close to the beautiful Yellowstone Park"

My husband and I with our 2 teenage boys rented this log home over the Christmas holidays. It was clean and comfortable. With two living rooms it was perfect for us so the boys could do their thing and we could do ours. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. There was even a small Christmas tree which was a very nice surprise. West Yellowstone is partly closed during the winter so we cooked most of our meals at the home. The only issue was the gas fireplace wasnt always operational. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.

We just got back from a three night stay at the lone pine lodge. We had an amazing time. The lodge easily accommodated the 7 people in our group. It was especially nice to have 2 living areas so the kids could have their own tv at night. The kitchen was very well equipped and very spacious! We highly recommend staying at the lodge!

House is close to West Yellowstone and makes for easy day trips to the park. After the crowds and traffic at the park, it was nice to come back to peace and quiet. Great decor and very comfortable beds. Kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pans, etc. We like having 2 separate family rooms so kids to watch what they want while adults could watch something else. Could accomodate a large group. Best part was knowing the rental management company was always available for questions.

Just got back from spending four nights at this rental and couldn't have been happier with my choice to stay here. When we arrived they had just finished giving it a fresh cleaning since we were to first ones there this season. It is a quick ten minute drive into town and the park from the house. The place was spacious, well maintained, and comfortably fit 6 adults and 5 young children. The downstairs family room made a great place for all the children to play and watch movies. The house was stocked with everything you would need except food. I would highly recommend this home to anyone heading to West Yellowstone.

Our family (grandparents, parents, teenagers and a child) really enjoyed this staying in this cabin. The home was very clean and everything was in good condition. We were provided with necessary toiletries, plenty of good towels, and a kitchen with plenty of cooking and eating tools. Our diverse age group enjoyed watching movies in the evening in the two family rooms with flat screen televisions. The comforts that we enjoyed for the price were far greater than what we would have received for about the same price within' Yellowstone National Park.

Having never been to Yellowstone park, the six of us (one couple flew in from Boston the rest of us - 2 more couples - were from Southern California) we didn't know what to expect, especially in winter. We planned 3 days of snowmobiling in Yellowstone and trails, and were concerned about our home away from home. We are all a bit picky, and comfort after a long day on the trails was important. Well Montana Vacation Rentals totally came through with Lone Pine Lodge. The place is perfect, totally bulletproof, all the appliances, great kitchen, comfy jigsaw puzzle area, very clean and comfortable bedrooms...really nice. If going to Yellowstone, it's a perfect place to stay
