The cottage is in need of some TLC. It is fairly clean but the smell of dog's and dog hairs was a cause of concern as one of our party had an allergy to this. The facilities where fine and the views over the lake are fantastic. A basic holiday let that is functional. If travelling from abroad you will need to ask for bed linen and towels at extra cost. Be warned you have to make the beds yourself as the bed linen is left in a box for you to sort out what goes where.

A very nice cottage on a beautiful piece of property. The dock was our favorite meeting place. We enjoyed swimming and floating off of it. We had several lovely nights around the fire pit. We were pleased to find the bar b q was hooked to natural gas! No worrying about propane tanks. The kitchen was very functional as was the dining table. Good size of all bedrooms except #3 on the first floor which is tiny. Good one for wee ones but not adults. The master in the basement is large and has a very nice bathroom. The only down side was imcessant gnats in this bathroom and a pervasive musty smell which we had trouble clearing. The problem actually seems to be with furniture in the basement. There are 2 large couches which are very moldy smelling and probably should be trashed. On the positive side there was a beautiful large TV with satellite and DVD player down there which we loved. The cottage is very conveniently located only 4 km from Wiarton. We loved the town and it was easy to go for a morning run to the local Tim's. Overall we were very happy and plan to return.

We would absolutely recommend this cottage to other families. The cottage is so nice and comfortable. It was very clean and we were amazed at how spacious it is. Same with the property, lots of room to run and play badminton and a game of pick up baseball. We spent a lot of time down by the deck and in the water. At night we enjoyed having campfires by the waters edge. Thanks for a wonderful family vacation. We'd come back for sure
