The cottage was beautiful and very clean. The huge open kitchen/sitting/dining areas made for great family times! Water was warm and shallow-perfect for young children. The paddleboat and canoe were very popular. Close to Wiarton for supplies. Overall experience was fabulous and already making plans to return next year!

My family stayed at the cottage this past summer and had a wonderful time. I think the highlight was the back yard and deck overlooking a peaceful lake and beautiful sunsets. We took full advantage of the canoe and paddle boat - which are great for people and kids at all ages. The only thing we missed was a dishwasher! It would have made the holiday a bit more relaxing. Nonetheless, it became family time around the kitchen sink after meals.
The cottage is a perfect layout and gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful cottage and lake(bring water shoes a bit rocky and murky). Bring utensils (cheese grater etc..), glass bowels and pans (unless you like non-stick) if you do a lot of cooking during your stay. Appliances are a bit outdated (no food processor and very old blender). Also, the mattress beds are not very good. I had tremendous back pain during my stay. They all really need to be replaced. Otherwise the stay was lovely!

We had a wonderful stay at Enns Inn. The location on the water is beautiful and provided us with a lovely place to relax every evening to watch gorgeous sunsets. The cottage itself was everything you could ask for: very spacious with everything decorated nicely, but still felt like a cottage (an upscale one at that!). The breeze off of the lake, combined with fans in every room, kept us cool during a week of 40 degree humidex weather, and we were very comfortable. And we found the beds to be very comfortable, as we like firm mattresses.
My husband, 10 month-old daughter, and myself stayed at the cottage with my parents and my sister, and the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms provided privacy and gave us space so that no one was disturbed by our daughter's 5am wakeups! Throughout the day there were plenty of places on the property to relax without us tripping over each other as well.
The location of the cottage is close enough to Wiarton that you can pop in if you need something without it being an inconvenience.
We had a great time there and truly look forward to staying here again. The best cottage that we've ever stayed at!

The cottage was absolutely fantastic. The amenities provided were sufficient for everyone to enjoy themselves. Having to go to town was a breeze and the village of Wiarton has a little bit of everything. Luckily the last week of August appeared to be quiet up there and we basically had the lake to ourselves. The weather finally cooperated and even though it was cool, the lake was warm and allowed us to windsurf and catamaran. And the wind blew!!! Its unfortunate that there is not many fish out there. The only complaint would be that the master mattress is uncomfortable.

My wife and I always cottage once a year in the area and always lean towards high end properties, we found this one to be a real gem , it had everything you could want for a fantastic stay. The cottage is an upscale home with fantastic veiws, beautiful dock area , great fire pit ,excellent landscape, and from what I have seen from the lovely little lake probably the nicest place on the lake. Orientation for sunset/rise is awesome. When you veiw this cottage at night from fire pit with all the beautifull pot lights lit up it is one of a kind. We enjoyed our stay completly and totally out of our plan to try new places every year, we plan to return next year, this is a very nice property that anyone woul love to stay.

Aside from the sump pump/basement flood issue our stay at the Enns Inn was fantastic. The cottage was extremely neat and clean. All the items supplied for our use were kept in good working order. The property was beautifully landscaped and the deck by the water was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better location to spend our holiday.

The Enns Inn cottage is a beautiful, roomy and comfortable cottage. It was clean, bright and spacious and had lots of extras, like ceiling fans, big windows, games, books and lots of lounging space. Outdoors, the big dock was a highlight with muskoka chairs for relaxing, a big fire pit and lots of space to seek sun or shade, depending on your preference. While it isn't overly private as there are cottages on either side in rather close proximity, we found the neighbours very nice - they even let us use their horseshoe pit!
One tip for next time - take water shoes as they lake has a very rocky/pebbly bottom which and is shallow for some distance so it requires quite a walk out to get to deeper water.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this cottage, the wonderful sunsets and spectacular weather!
