Well equipped and comfortable family home. Great location next to lake but easy access to many points of interest on the peninsula. Loved the deck view, enjoyed tasty bbqs, and early morning coffee on dock. Great service from agent, and lovely owner. Felt very looked after.

The cottage was well maintained, well equipped and clean. There was plenty of room. The owner contacted us the day we arrived to provide us with some information about the cottage, answer any questions and provided us with a contact number should we require his assistance. The views are beautiful, however, it is very rocky and slippery for little ones (which we knew prior to booking this rental property). The location of the cottage is close to beaches, sight seeing and amusement parks, if you wish to do so. Highly recommend it!

The scenery is beautiful, breathtaking and serene. We really enjoyed the water (It was late June and we were swimming!), the house and the area. We saw the most gorgeous sunrises every morning. The house was nice and big.
The downfalls? The garbage pick-up makes no sense at all. It is, I believe, early Monday morning so if you arrive on Saturday, you really don't have that much garbage accumulated. But by Friday, when you need to clean up, you have no choice but to go and pay at the dump. We didn't find this very convenient. The absolute worse though, was having to empty and clean the hot tub before leaving. It was hot and we nearly burned ourselves cleaning out the empty tub. I would not call it "professional cleaning service" when you basically have to do everything before leaving the house. Cleaning up after ourselves is completely understandable but making your paying guests empty and clean a hot tub when it is 30 degrees outside is unacceptable! I doubt those who pay for high season honestly do this! We recently stayed for a week in another country house with a hot tub and we were not made to empty and clean it. There were products and instructions on how to take care of the tub during our stay. The owner of the second home could not believe that guests were made to clean a hot tub!! Older people or senior citizens would not have been able to do that!!
Scenery = Exceptional
Sunrises = out of this world
House = Nice, but not "executive vacation home"
Cleaning the hot-tub = unacceptable
Paying for garbage disposal = unacceptable

- Great facilities! Hot tub, laundry, drying rack, huge deck, entertainment, water equipment, outdoor furniture were all great!
- Beautiful location - lots of trees, with a wonderful view of the water and sunrise. And private!!
- Lots of natural light and great layout of the cottage.
- Only 1 garbage tag provided (not 2 as mentioned)
- Cluttered kitchen made it hard to find space for our own food and supplies
- Cleaning services were promised but were not provided (instructions were left after we arrived that we had to do our own laundry and cleaning)
Dear Jen: Thank you for your comments. We have since made changes to address the issues that you have raised: -The kitchen has been re-organized to provide more space for our guests’ needs; -While many cottage rental facilities require that their guests take their waste with them at the end of their stay, we do provide two garbage bag tags each week for our guests. Unfortunately, the supply of those pre-paid tags had already been used at the time of your stay. (Our cleaner does their best to make sure that two tags are available each week); -We do provide a cleaning service with every booking. We simply ask our guest to tidy up the cottage before they depart. This means washing all the dishes and putting them away wiping down counters and emptying out the garbage and recyclables. The cleaners will do the rest. We do appreciate that you have already rated your stay at our cottage at 4 stars out of 5.

This cottage was very clean and had most of the ings we required. One bathroom is a bit of an issue you if you are a larger group. No major issues or concerns.
