Description

The Garden Apartment at Thrumster House is set in 20 acres woodland and gardens .

The house is situated in the ancient landscape of Caithness, rich in history and stunning scenery with cliff edged coast-line and the start of the flow country being Britain’s last real wilderness.

Only half an hour from John O’groats and the Castle of Mey. 5 miles from Wick where the world famous Old Pulteney is distilled.

Caithness is also famous for it’s wild brown trout fishing, the Garden apartment comes with fishing on 5 lochs.

There are often archeological digs in the summer which welcome volunteers, with or without previous experience.

“Cosy apartment in great surroundings, perfect base for exploring.”

Stayed 3 nights to give a short break to my elderly parents. Weather was pretty bad for the duration of the stay, but the apartment is sheltered perfectly by its tree filled gardens and offered a peaceful haven from the worst of the weather. The apartment is well appointed and provides more than enough space for 4 adults. Watching the wildlife do their thing from the kitchen/diner window as you have your breakfast is an added bonus. It is perfectly situated as a base for exploring the area and is also an idea base for anyone planning a fishing trip to the area.

“Ideal for exploring”

Plenty of space at The Garden Apartment with a lovely, cosy feel to it, comfy beds and large kitchen. This was ideal base for exploring everything Caithness has to offer. It was just a pity we weren't there for longer. Catherine was a great host and was there if we needed anything. I'm sure we'll be back - there's so much more to see!!

How do damage deposits work?
