The cabin was absolutely beautiful, well-appointed, and even more comfortable than we had imagined it would be. The owner checked in with us the evening of our arrival to make sure we had made it ok. Joan was kind enough to offer us some sleds which she said she would drive up and drop off. That is going the extra mile! The scenery from the cabin is absolutely something so beautiful, peaceful, and serene that we could not hope to do justice to it in words. If you want to be completely removed from the world for a respite of peace and tranquility...this is it. A hike to the highest point on the property affords a view of five mountain ranges which surround; The Bridger, Gallatin, Absaroka, Beartooth...and Crazy Mountain ranges. Simply stunning views. Hiked and snowshoed all over the property and saw more animal sign than we could keep up with. We saw moose, deer, rabbit and mountain lion tracks. Leaving was the hardest part, but we intend to return in the summer or fall to enjoy another season and get even further up into the Crazies with an overnight hiking trip. Thank you so much for all the perfect little things about this cabin and the stunning scenery it provides.

We arrived late at night. Drove up the snow covered driveway. Arrived at the cabin. A few lights were on to greet us. Opened the lock box to get the key and opened the door. The in floor heating was on and the cabin felt great. Unloaded a few items and hit the hay.
The next morning we awoke to deer right outside the window. My 2.5 year old daughter was glued to the window and watching the deer feed and play. Then we looked out the opposite side and saw the magnificent view of the Crazy Mountains. Wow.
We spent the first day playing games and cooking. We were at the cabin for a week and the time flew by. We went to Yellowstone twice. We saw Bison, Elk, Deer, Big Horn Sheep, Eagles, Moose, and many other wildlife. The weather was cold. Snowy some days, sunny others. We loved it all and can't wait to return. Well worth the money. Hands down the best cabin we have ever stayed at.

The crazy mountain cabin was exactly what we needed for a long weekend away. The cabin is situated in the most beautiful nook facing the crazy mountains and we truly enjoyed our long meandering walks through the property. We found all the amenities to be high end and extremely comfortable. It's a gorgeous cabin and we were really fond of all the design elements in the bathroom & kitchen. Although the tiny town of Wilsal had a nice little restaurant & general store, we recommend bringing lots of food with you as the kitchen is perfectly appointed for cooking and you won't really want to leave! The only issue we experienced was very spotty wireless, a new router may be needed. We appreciate the kindness of our Host to call to make sure we were happy. We will return!

We stayed in this amazing cabin for three nights during our recent visit to USa. It was everything we had anticipated and more. Inside and out the cabin is clean and tidy with absolutely everything you need. We couldn't have found a better place to relax and watch the wildlife stroll by. We would love to stay again if we are ever back in the area and would recommend the cabin unreservedly.

This is not your typical cabin in the woods. 5 star all the way from the jetted shower to the granit counter tops in the kitchen. You cant beat the scenery from the front porch or the hiking right out the front door. The owner adds a personal touch with the welcome phone call and is most willing to help out in any way. We will be back in the winter for sure! Read more
We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay and agree that it's a very special spot! We hope that you will be our guests again sometime soon.

We couldn't wait for an opportunity to rent this lovely cabin in its perfect hillside location after viewing it 4 years ago when visiting friends who have a cabin just down the road. Although it was our daughter, son-in-law, and their three young kids who stayed there (while we stayed with our friends), we know for a fact that their experience was outstanding in every way. The owners even allowed us to have the entire extended family come for two special family reunion dinner celebrations (and they graciously helped in hosting one of the dinners). The weather was near perfect; the scenic location is fantastic; and the cabin was everything you would want it to be for such a special vacation experience. We hope to return again.

Once again at Crazy Mountain Cabin. We were here last year, and hope to be again. This the most serene spot wehave ever been. You feel you are the only people in the world. It is a great spot, and a beautiful cabin. The rental company is very accommodating and easy to deal with.

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and wonderfully secluded. My family had great time hileing the hills around and veiwing the mountains. All the amenities were supplied to make a comfortable stay. The home is buitiful and located perfectly on the back side of the hill to block the wind without sacrifising the views of the Crazy Mountains. All in all a perfect getaway for the family to relax and enjoy time togather.

This is the most perfect spot we have ever stayed. We have traveled from Hawaii to Switzerland. We have traveled extensively in Montana. This was it. A combination of the breath taking views, the seclusion and privacy, combined with the wonderful, luxurious cabin, make this the perfect vacation. Leaving was very hard.

Crazy Mountain Cabin was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed !! The location and surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The "cabin" is actually a fully equiped, gorgeous, clean home with all top of the line equipment/appliances. There were many additional personal touches made to the home - like having a telescope in the master bedroom along with a picture window so you can look directly at the crazy mountains. In fact, you can lay in the king size bed and see the mountains !! It was breathtaking !! The property the home is on is very serene and private also. We walked through the wooded areas, up to a large hill and viewed the surrounding ranches and livestock. We picked fresh sage to cook with from the many many sage plants growing right on the property. We had fires at night in the firepit and sat on the patio and just enjoyed the night sky. The home was also very clean and well kept - we felt very much at home immediately !! We enjoyed fresh flowers left for us on the kitchen counter. The home is also well stocked with supplies so you can find spices for cooking, and even laundry detergent if you choose to do a load of laundry during your stay. We enjoyed everything about Crazy Mountain cabin and we will be back !!

The Crazy Mountain Cabin was Beautifull and the views from the cabin were awesome. It was so peacefull. We loved the wildlife that we saw on the property. We had deer that visited every day, early morning and late evening. One day they were around off and on all day. The last day of our visit early morning we seen a heard of Elk that trotted across the front of the property, that was great. We loved our visit and we are looking forward to another visit. We also enjoyed hiking around on the property. I can't say enough about how awesome the cabin and the views were. We loved it.
It was easy to research online the choices that Mountain Home offers. Our cabin was well equipped, beautifully built and located on a secluded location. The views of the meadows and mountains were everything we could hope for. This was our first trip to Montana and it was worth the trip from Texas.

The cabin was exactly what we wanted, very quiet and secluded, yet not too far from town if you need to get anything. The cabin is great...very clean, well decorated and furnished, excellent condition. Perfect place if you either want a nice quiet spot alone to relax and/or for day trips to hike, horseback ride, go to Livingston or Bozeman or down to Yellowstone Park.

The Crazy Mountain Cabin is truly beautiful! The porch is situated so as to see the storms come in. Watching the evening unfold while sipping a glass of wine on the porch is true relaxation. The amenities were beautiful with details all thoughtout...except the firewood that wasn't stocked. That didn't ruin our stay at all because it was in the summer but the evenings are cool enough to enjoy the fire so it might be good to have that available in the summer as well.
The artwork details of the interior were truly amazing!
We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This mountain foot-hills cabin has the modern amenities of home while offering a great feel of the rural, mountainous Montana life-style. Its serenity and grand view of the Crazy Mountains combined with the private setting make it a great place to focus on someone important to you while sharing the Montana experience.

Our stay at the crazy mountain cabin was the highlight of our three weeks vacation across Wyoming and Montana last summer. The house was so pretty and the setting so perfect that none of us wanted to leave! The view of the still snowcapped crazy mountain peaks from the front the porch is picture perfect and is matched but the absolute tranquility of the spot. We took a lot of day hikes across the crazy mountains wilderness and we found the scenery captivating and pristine. There was absolutely no one on the trails and we had sometimes a hard time knowing where we were heading to, but we also had the mountains for ourselves! The cabin was immaculately kept with great attention to comfort and decoration and there was a lot of information about outdoors activities. All the supplies, appliances, and lines were of extreme high qualities, and the mountain home staff ran the whole process with great efficiency and care. It could not have been a better stay!!!

We loved the home and the beautiful setting. It was perfect for our family to feel like we belonged there. The only trouble we had was that it did not have air conditioning and the week that we were there it was unusually hot, in the 100's! Everyone connected with our stay was friendly and super helpful.
