Do something extraordinary and add to your bucket list a getaway in a restored church! Chapel Home... soon to be featured on HGTV in all it's GLORY will exceed your expectations as the lodging and events venue experience of your dreams. Come & Enjoy!
Chapel Home rests above a lovely waterfall on Lone Man Creek and offers all the luxurious comforts that discerning guests have come to expect. It is furnished with quite unique antiques; offers three private bedrooms and is adorned with a stunning 5' round chandelier (from the legendary Driskell Hotel in downtown Austin) in the center of the living space above the oversized serving island. Charming features also include a rectangular claw foot bathtub for two in the Master Suite upstairs (featured in Architectural Digest) which is proudly displayed in the top of the steeple, two aromatherapy showers, stained glass windows, a delightful covered porch facing the waterfall and an expansive commercial kitchen fully stocked with only "the best" for the chef (A Thermadore Commercial Propane Oven and 4 burner stovetop & griddle, Cutco cutclery, All Clad and glass cookware, a Cameron Cooker and more) ... encouraging cooking together and extended visits while wining and dining.
A Weber charcoal grill is available to guests. Please bring needed supplies.
The neighborhood is spectacular! It is both quiet and very private with a full display of incredibly peaceful and serene views of the creek and the hills which boast of incredible sunrises and sunsets, You cannot miss taking in the clear displays of abundant starry skies in all their splendor and the incredible sites and sounds of the country and wildlife... happily singing their songs of JOY! Even still, after nearly 15 years of being firmly planted here, I have to pinch myself to believe it is real. It is heaven on earth to me and I think it will be for you too!
More expansive views and experiences with nature and wildlife are right outside the door as you venture out to wade in the creek; shower in the (seasonal) waterfall or journey up into the hills extending for 4.5 miles to the end of the private road. Walk, run or bike for an invigorating workout.
Wimberley has long been known as a place on this earth that is divinely aligned with the energy of healing. Folks often arrive, not knowing exactly what they are looking for or even why they came and they soon realize that they were seemingly led here to clear away the cares of yesteryear and to begin anew. Creative expression is inspired, songs and books are written, relationships are rekindled and transformational shifts in life are prompted... effortlessly, as a result of settling down to recognize how grounded and real we can soon become anew when settled in and fully embraced by natural beauty and abundantly organic surroundings.
Jacobs Well, Blue Hole and Mount Baldy are not to be missed if you appreciate both the healing properties of water and the expansive views of the hills. Each destination is subtly stimulating to all of your senses and will serve as a beautiful imprint, firmly planted in your mind and heart to sustain that deep peace within as your return home.
Chapel Home is located only 3 miles from downtown Wimberley but most folks (even those that make prior plans) choose to stick around to enjoy the space and ambience that encourages rest and sacred quality time with family and friends.
We are in the country and without mass transit, however, transportation can be easily obtained by personal drivers and limo providers to the Austin and San Antonio airports; to Events in Austin; the San Antonio River Walk as well as the growing number of Hill Country Wineries.TripAdvisor property ID 4649242...Read more
