Set in complete seclusion by the property’s lake and surrounded by rolling hills, our lovingly restored Settlers Cottage is a magical place to reconnect with nature and each other.

Warm yourself by the log fire in winter, enjoy a glass of local wine on the veranda in summer, gaze at a magnificent star-studded night, or take an amble around the lake. Whatever you choose to do, your soul will be replenished as you soak up the peace and tranquillity of this hidden pocket of the property.

Thoughtfully designed in a luxury farmhouse style to preserve the charm of the cottage, this romantic one-bedroomed cottage has every amenity required for a comfortable stay. Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by a cosy lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, an inviting spa bath and king-sized bed with quality linen sheets.

A generous gourmet breakfast hamper is provided for your stay, which you can prepare in your own time.

The seclusion of the Cottage, but at the same time so close to some very special wineries and restaurants certainly makes for a tranquil and private getaway. If a return trip is indeed on the cards, can I suggest winter time? The heated bathroom floor and cozy log fire are ever so comfortable, you may not want to go out at all......

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tinne (the owner) a message.

If Tinne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
