Recent reviews for Yosemite National Park

"Awesome house"

Left on 05/27/2017 for a stay in May 2017
We enjoyed the views in the evening. GREAT location centrally located to visit Yosemite, Kings Canyon, or Sequoia National Park. Good roads with scenic views. Liza responds to any questions quickly and the Caretaker Steve is a new west coast brother. He even called me a few days in advance to let me know the house would be available if I wanted to check in earlier in the day so we could have extra time to sightsee and he told me what roads to travel for the best views on the way in. it's not often you get a call offering to let you check in early. In a word awesome place!!!

"Awesome place at a great location!"

Rented Alpine Hut to explore Yosemite first time with family. We had a wonderful time and loved the bright/open/modern aspect of the home. I would definitely like to re-book when I visit next time. Totally worth it! Suggestion to the owner: fix the microwave please. it's too noisy!

"Beautiful"

This home was so beautiful and relaxing...the drive was very short and beautiful to Yosemite. Todd was awesome and so helpful in this rental process.

"Great place to stay in Yosemite"

Left on 06/18/2017 for a stay in June 2017
The Yosemite West area is great for access to Yosemite Valley or Glacier Point (each less than 30 minutes), and is a welcome relief from the crowds. The Serenity Suite was wonderful for its design, amenities - just about anything you could think of, even a coffee grinder - as well as it's location. Mike and Holly even provide maps and guidebooks for Yosemite. We will definitely stay there on future trips to Yosemite. A few caveats that you should be aware of if you go: 1. The internet at the Suite is currently only good for basic email and web-browsing (this may be changing in the near future), and there is no Cable TV, only a DVD player and DVDs. There may be no phone service at the Suite (there is service in Yosemite Valley and at Glacier Point), but there is a landline phone. 2. The nearest markets and restaurants are in Yosemite Valley or Wawona. 3. Plan to go EARLY to either Yosemite Valley or Glacier Point, or you may be turned away (Glacier Point Rd) or have to circle for hours to find parking (Yosemite Valley).

"Peaceful retreat"

Left on 06/26/2017 for a stay in June 2017
House was perfect, just the right size. Beautiful drive to the Park. Pine mountain lake had two fun beaches which we enjoyed. Groveland was experiencing a heatwave and the house was not able to cool adequately so we had a couple of rough nights However we would do it again, we would just check forecast. To be fair I don't think any rentals there could respond to the abnormal temps. Loved our stay

About Yosemite National Park

Awaken your mind, body, and inner yearning for adventure in Yosemite, CA. Whether you are here to relax and escape the chaos of the outside world, or to embark upon the best outdoor recreational and extreme sporting opportunities there are, you have come to the right place. Visitors can spend the day swimming or paddling around in the clean mountain lakes, and at night, throw a family barbeque under a clear northern California starry sky. With guided tours through the heart of Yosemite National Park, travelers can discover the beautiful scenery and enhance their understanding and appreciation of the area. Yosemite offers the best in water sport recreation, from rafting and swimming to fishing as well as plenty of biking trails. There are also numerous options for dining, culture, and entertainment in this area.

Some of the sights you will not want to miss include:

  • Half Dome Mountain: This natural beauty offers some of America's most famous and breathtaking hiking trails that spiral up the backside of the mountain. With a summit of 8,842 feet, Half Dome Mountain boasts some of the most unique views of California. Whether you chose to hike the trail in a day, or spend the night at the Yosemite Valley's campground, Half Dome is an unforgettable way to see Yosemite.
  • Vintners' Holiday Celebration: Looking for great food and entertainment? Yosemite offers world-class wine tasting, seminars, and dinner extravaganzas as part of this event. It takes place every year from November through the beginning of December.

Held at The Ahwahnee each January and February, this event features world-renowned chefs and culinary experts showcasing all kinds of cuisine. Guests are able to meet the chefs, participate in cooking classes, watch cooking demonstrations, and take behind-the-scenes kitchen tours.
  • Yosemite Golf: This 9-hole National Park Golf Course is open spring to fall. It serves as a perfect backdrop against the breathtaking Yosemite landscape.
  • Yosemite's Badger Pass Ski Area: For many travelers, winter sports are a big draw in Yosemite. The season runs from December to mid-March. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, snowshoeing, and ice skating at the rink onsite.

Yosemite is one of the most exquisite natural attractions in the U.S., and a vacation rental here is a dream come true. Many visitors opt for a wood-side cabin versus Yosemite campsites, so that they can experience the great outdoors while still enjoying the comforts of home.
