We loved staying in the Red Door apt. There where 3 of us and the spce was perfect. The location was great. We only had a short 1 hour drive to the big hikes and we did not have to go out of the park. We cooked meals 2 nights and had some great pizza in the valley one night. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks, Misty Burbridge

I decided to rent the red door apartment on my vacation, and am glad I did. We arrived and parked in the parking pad, and climbed the steps to the apartment. If you're up for hiking many of the trails in Yosemite, the stairs won't be an issue. The apartment is fully loaded with a kitchen with all the pots and pans you'll need, a comfortable bed, a futon for a second bed if needed, a nice deck and grill, and little extras, like games, CDs, and books about the area that we found useful. The apartment was clean and quiet. I would certainly rent the red door apartment again should I return to Yosemite.
Hi T., thank you for choosing the Red Door apt. for your lodging in Yosemite and for the great picture you posted (futon set up as bed in the living room, ready for guests' arrival -- it shows the living room space in the late afternoon light).
Come back soon and HAPPY TRAVELS!

Big comforts included great location, daily sunsets and waking to the sound of wind in the trees.
Little comforts included coffee, tea and hot chocolate; Yosemite books, map and wildflower guide and the jazz CD.
We looked forward to coming home each evening after a full day of hiking and discovering Yosemite National Park.

We loved Yosemite and the Red Door was perfect for us. Yosemite Valley is beautiful but very busy. After a day od hiking it was lovely to return to the apartment and relax on the balcony. We ate breakfast and dinner there each night and watched the sunset. Very comfortable and the perfect location from which to explore all of the park.

The Red Door apt. was amazing! It was so nice to have our own apartment inside the park! It was very clean, modern yet quaint, and perfect for a couples stay, not to mention a beautiful setting. It was nice to be so close to the Valley, trails, and other park features, and we had our own private apartment to come back to at the end of the day.

All that I can say is that it was wonderful. Nicely far from the valley but at the same time close enough by car to Mariposa Grove, Glacier Point and yes! the valley. My nights there were more than relaxing, it was a completely "out of this world" nights. Really, an unforgettable experience.

I travel with my 7 and 9 year old grandchildren each summer. This was our third year at the Red Door sanctuary. It offers us safety, comfort and joy to be in a homey atmosphere where we can cook and spend time on the deck for meals, star gazing and lots of entertainment from the grands. We enjoyed the puzzles, cards, dominos, board games, music and videos which are available for use. The kids walk in and immediately go to the magic drawer filled with past years memories.
The ever-ending views of the Sequoia tree tops, mountains ranges, colorful sunsets, clean, bright, cheery home atmosphere, convenience to both the south and north ends of the park and a host who extends herself professionally to makes it easy for booking and have your stay be hassle free.
For a true experience of the Yosemite bliss make your next destination the Red Door.

It's a perfect home-away-from-home for 2 people. Great location inside the park, close to everything with a special, soaring, trre-top feeling that we really love. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets all 3 evenings from the deck and living room. The night sky was very clear and presented us with endless stars to count. We fully enjoyed the whole time we spent there. Easy to book: the owner provided plenty of info over the phone and via e-mail. The apt very bright for a mountain cabin, quite spacious for 2 and surrounded by forest with a beautiful western view over the Sierra Nat'l Forest.
Not fancy, no frills but clean and confortable. Can't wait to go back!
