Yosemite Tree House - Solitude and Beauty~hot tub

“The Tree House is the perfect counterweight to my hectic life in the city. I’ll be back again.”

So many of our guests comment on the quiet and serenity they find at the Tree House. The Tree House is rustically elegant; from the massive granite fireplace and incense-cedar tree that are the centerpoints of the house, to the well-appointed bedrooms, bathrooms and full amenity, gourmet kitchen. It is the only house on the 25 acre property which is situated on the rim of the Merced River Canyon.

The Tree House is a 1700 square foot, three bedroom, two bath home that is just the place for families and friends looking for a unique vacation home ...Read more

Additional Location Information

The house is in the quaint mountain community of Midpines, close to Yosemite and Highway 140 (the scenic, all-weather highway to Yosemite). The Tree House is tucked in the center of the twenty-five private acres of Wild Oak Farm. It is the only home on the property. Located at 2,800 feet in elevation, Wild Oak Farm gets occasional snow in the winter and offers great hills for sledding!

Midpines is an ideal base for outdoor recreation. A short walk (bike, drive, or ride) up the road brings you to the Sierra National Forest Boundary. Most of the surrounding area is pristine Sierra National Forest or Bureau of Land Management land, with hiking trails and unpaved roads to explore. The Merced River is less than five minutes away and provides rafting (in the spring), swimming (from late Spring until Winter rains), fishing (all year round), wild life viewing, hiking and camping opportunities and plenty of solitude. Once you arrive at Wild Oak Farm there are no crowds, no traffic — yet Yosemite National Park is a mere sixteen mile drive to the East and the restaurants, shops and historic streets of Mariposa are only ten miles to the West.
