Midpines House -Yosemite's Favorite Basecamp- Spa!
Description from the owner
Yosemite’s Favorite Basecamp meets the needs of almost all travelers. Couples will enjoy the privacy of the entire property to themselves when they rent the MIDPINES HOUSE. Larger groups (up to 12 people) can rent the HOUSE and the MIDPINES BUNGALOW together, giving them room to spread out.
Rest assured that even if you rent the house only, you will have the whole property to yourself, we do not rent the House and Bungalow separately. This place is very private and very special.
The House is newly remodeled and sleeps 8 very comfortably.
Master bedroom has queen sized bed, a loveseat, and comes stocked with high thread count sheets and goose down duvet. The attached bathroom has granite countertops, a 'tall-person' shower and thick fluffy towels.
The Guest bedroom also has a queen sized bed and a nice view of the night sky and surrounding mountains.
The livingroom has a fold out couch and a separate futon style bed.
There is a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops, completely stocked with modern cooking and baking tools.
The spacious, open living & dining room has plenty of seating, a 42' Flat Screen TV, and a wood-burning stove.
The Cedar Hot Tub is surrounded by a large wrap-around redwood deck. The back Patio has a 6 person dining table, a Gas BBQ, a Fire bowl and plenty of seating.
The Bungalow is brand new. We added it to accomodate larger families or groups traveling together. The Bungalow is separate from the house (about 300 ft away) and offers the same amenities as the house minus the full kitchen. The Bungalow has a very large living room area attached to the bar area. The bar has a mini fridge, a sink, and seating for six at a unique wood slab bar top. Above the bar is a small TV. In the living room, enjoy a large flat screen TV, leather couch, a Foosball table, and a remote controlled gas fireplace.
Additional sleeping areas are tucked away behind the media wall. One nook has two bunk beds while the other nook (separate from the bunks) has a queen sized bed.
There is a nice patio outside the Bungalow and a covered porch to enjoy even in the winter.
A short drive through the gorgeous Merced River canyon brings you to Yosemite National Park. Ample free parking on site. Back yard patio has hammocks in the summer, fire pit in the winter - the perfect place to gaze at the stars. The House and Bungalow are tastefully decorated with National Park themed photographs and paintings, many by local artists. Everything about the Midpines House and Bungalow are new and fresh.

This "cabin" was a delight for the four of us to walk into after a full day of hiking the high country of Yosemite. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of "gizmos" and utensils for preparing a meal in a home away from home.
The living room space was attractive though I confess that we spent most of our time in the kitchen and around the dining table.
Bed rooms are great and the beds quite comfortable. Everything was pristine and clean. Yes, the bathrooms were super fine--the second bedroom guests have to walk through the kitchen to get to there ( a minor inconvenience).
The owners are friendly and responsive on line. We found it quite easy to fill out the necessary papers and get the instructions.
