Additional Location Information
It is located about forty five minutes from Yosemite National Park's south entrance, and about an hour from Yosemite National Park's Arch Rock entrance. Both routes take about one and a half hours to get you to the heart of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and other Yosemite Valley attractions. The usually all year East Fork of the Chowchilla River runs across the bottom of our property, where you can fish (California fishing laws apply), pan for gold (it's yours), dip your toes to cool off, or just enjoy the soothing river sounds and spectacular view from the private spa or two story decks.

The house was clean when we arrived and had many extra supplies (although we brought most things we would need). Note - the coffee pot takes number 4 cone filters (there were #2 available but are too small).
My favorite part was watching the birds at the feeders each morning and enjoying the swing on the deck in the evening. It was convenient to be able to have meals in for breakfast and dinner and spend the days hiking in Yosemite. The drive is a bit long to either entrance, but if you are going to spend the day is not unreasonable.
Plenty of space and we had our kids sleep downstairs with the adults upstairs - worked out very nicely for four adults and two kids. We didn't use the spa because we were all too tired at the end of the day, but I am sure it's a great feature to have.

I rented this home with a group of 8 friends for a long weekend retreat to Yosemite and to celebrate a couple birthdays. Contacting the owners/renters was a breeze, they made the whole process feel so easy and I felt like everything was just being taken care of. The home itself is gorgeous! It's super spacious, clean, has so many various amenities like great kitchen knives, coffee, shampoo's and soaps.. this was far beyond what we were looking for at a fabulous price!
If you are looking for all the comforts of home, with no hassle, in a rustic and secluded environment - this is by far your best choice! We will definitely be doing another trip - hopefully next year!
