C'est la vie. This is the life. Mexican Palapa meets French Farmhouse in our newly built, extraordinary villa at Ensueño 10 overlooking the bay. Life doesn't get any better than this.
Our gorgeous 3BR/3BA brand-new villa at Ensueño 10 hangs like a jewel above Playa La Ropa in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
We believe in the sensory experience, and for this reason the villa is a delight to the senses: to the eyes, ears and to the touch. The acid-washed red Puebla marble floors under your bare feet, the touch of flamed granite counters, the smooth onyx bathrooms and an expansive view terrace that spans the width of the condo.
The al fresco living area with its soaring palapa roof is a great place to kick back with a cool drink and enjoy the amazing sunsets over Bahia Zihuatanejo. It features an onyx dining table for 6, a copper topped coffee table, ample couch and chair seating. The breeze flows off the bay though the tropical mahogany wood shutters to keep you comfortable and cool.
There is no shortage of lounging available. The terrace/deck has a 'Bali Bed', which is really a comfortable double outdoor bed for lying and watching the boats dancing on the bay or the stars flying by. We have moveable sling-back lounging chairs. all under the shelter of the terrace palapas.
The kitchen features a 6-burner stove, granite counters, ample storage, double sink, microwave, Henckels knives, gourmet cooking pans, coffee maker & grinder, blender, toaster, orange juicer, mini-Cuisinart and numerous chef's tools (we love to cook!).
Our dish-ware is gorgeous blue and white hand-painted Talavera from Puebla and our glassware is Mexican hand-blown glass. The silverware is beautiful heavy stainless. We also have a filtered water dispenser at the kitchen sink.
Each of two the upstairs bedrooms have king-sized beds (great mattresses!), 400+ Italian percale linens and air conditioning, terraces and views! The pillows are Pacific coast feather and down pillows. There is no shortage of closet space either in our hand-made closets. All the woodwork is Parota, a tropical hardwood. Both upstairs bedrooms have LED TV's and DISH with HBO.
The two upstairs bedrooms have sliding doors with shutters and screens so you can sleep with the sound of the waves lapping at your dreams. If you would rather, you can close the glass doors and use the AC (we almost never do).
All bathrooms feature onyx sinks and appointments. The master bath has the most beautiful bathroom with an outdoor shower and a tropical garden and a view to the bay. We have luxury towels and hair dryers in each bathroom.
The detached downstairs bedroom has the same great Sealy king bed and mattress. Its bathroom is nestled right into the bedrock of the hillside. It is extraordinary. Since it has it's own entrance, it also features a TV, DVD player, small fridge and coffee maker.
We have in-house WIFI, a house phone, a portable Bose docking station for your favorite tunes and satellite TV. We have our own washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. We supply beach towels.
Ensueño 10 has a lovely green salt-water pool overlooking the bay. The pool area features ample lounge chairs and a fiesta-sized shaded palapa (palm frond roof) with a full kitchen and seating. We have an air conditioned fitness center with floor-to-ceiling ocean view using LifeFitness Green Initiative machines,
There is parking for your rental car if you chose to have one.
How sexy is this? Ensueño 10 has a funicular ascending the hillside.

C'est la Vie. (Every) room with a view. Upscale. Zihuatanejo, Mexican Riviera-Pacific Coast, Mexico
Additional Location Information
We went to Zihuatanejo on our first date in 1978.
Back then it was a sleepy fishing village, where you could lie on the beach all day under a palapa. You could take a occasional plunge in the gentle surf, sip a piña colada, dine on the freshest fish, and take a nighttime stroll under more stars than you could ever dream up.
Zihuatanejo has kept all of its old world charm and remains one of the most beautiful beaches and bays in the world. And Playa La Ropa is one of the most swimmable beaches in Mexico.
The Greek Isles, the Amalfi Coast, even the South Pacific Islands have little more to offer.
We have traveled a lot since then, but Zihuatanejo is the place we always go back to, and finally in 2006 we satisfied a lifelong dream to build and design a place to share with others when we built our other condo, Sueño del Mar.. Now, in 2012 we have built a second completely different and equally beautiful larger villa. How much do we love this place?

"Beautiful, luxurious home away from home condo in Zihua"
Left on 05/01/2014 for a stay in April 2014 | LaurenFReviewed May 1, 2014Stayed Apr 2014
This gorgeous condo has every amenity for a luxurious vacation. The owners have equipped the kitchen with every gadget one could possibly want from corkscrews to coffeemakers. Every furnishing, from dishware to couches has been put together with the owner's artistic eye. The artwork is gorgeous, handpicked from artisans in the surrounding areas. The beds are beautiful and super comfortable. The bathrooms are stunning! Have you ever had plants growing in your shower before?
The pool and bar area are kept immaculately by the wonderful staff. Edi, the concierge is always ready to help with any need from calling cabs to negotiating fare. Lynda, the manager, checked in frequently to see if we needed anything, made recommendations, called places for us and even brought snacks upon arrival.
We loved the variety of seating options on the deck overlooking the bay. A hammock, two chairs and a couch with ottomans. No matter the time of day or mood, the view of the bay and mountains could be enjoyed.
The condo was the perfect base from which to explore Zihuatenejo, Ixtapa, and nearby beaches. We had a fabulous time and hope to return in the future.
Wow. What a great review! It makes me want to be back there right now. I am delighted that you had such a great vacation and enjoyed our place so much! We do keep improving things to make it more like home. For instance, we just added big drawers to to the kitchen to make it easy to find everything you need. We believe in providing as much quality as possible for us and for you. We do not hide our good dinnerware away, nor stint on luxuries. Please DO come back and join us again!

"Life in Zihuat"

Having traveled to many places in Mexico, my recent 10 day stay at Ensueno 10 was a wonderful introduction to life in Zihuatanejo.
I felt like I was staying in a good friend's home - that new how to treat
its friend's very well. When I arrived late in the day, all I wanted to do was rest on the deck, unwind, and take in the view of the sunset over the bay. The rooms at night come alive with colorful artwork, soft
lighting and comfy places to curl up, read or entertain. The kitchen
has all you need for anything you might want to prepare. I especially
loved the care taken in the little things - the colorful dishes, the soft
towels and sheets, the knife sharpener in the drawer. The decor feels warm and cozy, filled with mexican crafts that feel authentic and give this home a sense of place. The staff was great and helpful. I loved swimming in the pool at night under the stars.
Using the Villa as home base, we traveled up and down the coast visiting many towns, beaches and restaurants. I especially loved sitting at a table on the beach, under a palapa with my feet in the sand. Food, tequila and a dip in the ocean - what could be more perfect. We also traveled up into the mountains to visit Patzcuaro and many small villages that are filled with all the artisans and crafts from the area. In Santa Clara del Cobre, the center of copper art, I pounded a disk of copper that would become an intricate pot.
I just loved discovering Zihuat (as the locals say) and look forward
to staying here again on my next visit.
I LOVE what you said about a sense of place! That is exactly what we are trying to achieve. We wanted a place that was a respite, a haven of tranquility and filled with eye's delight. I am thrilled that you had such a great time!
Please come back to Zihua.
"Life is good at C'est La Vie"
Left on 01/26/2014 for a stay in January 2014 | Getaway GirlReviewed Jan 26, 2014Stayed Jan 2014
We had a lovely one week stay at C'est La Vie. Even though the weather was unseasonably warm, the multiple fans in the main living area and the bedroom kept us cool and comfortable.
The artwork that decorated the walls and the coffee table was amazing - it said "Mexico" but with a refined eye for texture and color. The overall architecture really made us feel we had "arrived".
The view was fabulous-- we could see the entire bay with all of it's interesting ship activity, and breathtaking sunsets. It was an easy walk to the beach (the hills were good excercise), and we even walked into town a couple of times for shopping and additional dining options. We enjoyed the salt water pool at Ensueño 10 several times.
C'est la vie was beautifully equipped with everything we could want. The bedroom was beautifully appointed and we had the choice of louvered doors for a fresh breeze at night, or glass sliding doors if we prefered to close off the outside completely. The linens were high quality - we felt like we were in a luxury hotel. And the mattress was more comfortable than the one I had it home, which was a pleasant surprise. I usually dread sleeping on other mattresses, but I woke up every morning feeling great.
The kitchen was a delight-- it had everything we needed. Coffee grinder? Check. Lime squeezer? Check. Vacuum pump for our leftover bottle of wine? Check! Linda, the property manager, had fulfilled our small "get started" grocery list so we we did not need to do any shopping when we arrived, which started our vacation with a very relaxing evening.
The staff at Ensueño 10 were charming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be planning a return trip.
Well, i brought the vacuum wine sealer just for you...and anyone else who enjoys wine. I am thrilled that you love our place and want to come back. LOL. We also have the modern ELECTRIC lime and orange juicer! I guess you missed that.
We love guests like you. Please come back again soon. We will have drinks waiting by the pool for you.
Saludos, Harriet & Ron

This was the second time we've stayed at C'est La Vie. The accommodations and view are unrivaled. It is so nice to have room to spread out and relax. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, so cooking meals is easy. The gym and pool bar were perfect places to start and end each day. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. This is our "go to" spot in Zihua.
And WE are fans of YOU. I know that you enjoyed the new palapas off the bedrooms. Aren't they a great place to lie and read? We so love having guests return to discover new additions to our place in paradise.
Please return again!

We had a wonderful time at C'est la Vie!! The view from the condo and the pool was fantastic. The ameneties were perfect. We had everything we needed in the unit. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach towels and everything we needed for a wonderful family reunion. There is a bit of an uphill walk from the beach up to the condo but we were happy to have the exercise in order to burn a few calories. The staff was very kind and helpful. There was a bit of constuction noise but it did not occur everyday and we were down at the beach some of the time anyway. I would highly recommend this condo as it is close to the beach but also had superlative views!
We are thrilled that you had such a great time. I am sorry that there was noise from the construction project below our complex. I understand that in the next few weeks there will be much less disturbance from that project. Things are obviously booming in Zihua and our hill is a very desirable place to live. We hope to see you again in the future.

From the first moment we decided to go with C'est la vie we received nothing but great service from Harriet. For every question I had she was right there with the answer putting our minds at ease over the decision to rent this beautiful property. Photos do not do this place justice from the moment you arrive you feel like you are truly in a one of a kind property that just feels magical. When we entered the unit itself it was an instant wow! Harriet has a great eye and you can see her attention to detail threw out the unit. Having rented other properties in the States and Mexico by far this one is hands down the best. Did I mention the view is spectacular from every room! One fantastic feature of C'est la vie would have to be the deck that runs the entire length of the unit having access to it from every room many hours were spent here just looking out at the bay and enjoying the weather. C'est la vie is a very new property and we for the most part had the entire place to ourselves, I wasn't entirely sure how I'd feel about that being a social person but after words I feel this was one of if not the most relaxing vacations we've ever been on. We rented C'est la vie for a week utilizing all three bedrooms staying with our two teenage kids. - I cannot say enough about the staff I think what truly makes or breaks a property is the staff and C'est la vie's staff are wonderful! From Lynda who was there to meet us and introduced us to all the staff she is a real find. Eddie such a great guy, we truly enjoyed getting to spend time with him and wish him the best. The grounds keeper was great Belie so friendly always having a huge smile on his face. I would like to extend a special thank you to Harriet and Ron for letting us enjoy this remarkable property it truly is a special place. We are hoping to rent this beautiful one of a kind property again next year until then we will be dreaming of one of our favorite places in the world. Karin/Jason
Well, I have to admit that I was a bit nervous about having a family with two teens int he condo. I worried because I know that sometimes teens can be hard to please. I am thrilled that all of your family had such a great time. I especially love that you loved your trip to Las Gatas beach for a day of snorkeling and food at Chez Camille. You were great guests and would be honored to have you back.

"Our best Zihuatanejo rental - ever!"
Left on 12/11/2012 for a stay in December 2012 | A FlipKey verified reviewerReviewed Dec 11, 2012Stayed Dec 2012
We've stayed in a variety of accommodations in Zihua over the last 15 years: bungalow in the jungle, mansion on the beach, and seemingly everything in between - all were great. But our ten days at C'est la Vie were absolutely the best. From the moment we arrived we knew we would love this place. Here's why:
1. The home. Fantastic in all respects:
beautiful design, brand new, full attention to detail
plenty of room - no "cramped condo feel"
great deck with incredible views
very comfortable - great beds, great reading chairs
(with good lighting), great bathrooms (tres cool)
all furnishings, appliances, linens/towels (lots of
those), dishes, etc. are top notch
saltwater pool - big enough for lap swimming
lounge area by the pool - lovely breezes and the
perfect place to relax and cool off
purified drinking water at the kitchen sink
full gym - we worked out every morning (with a view!)
2. Service. Eddie (on-site manager for the six unit complex) and Lynda (property manager for C'est la Vie) greeted us on arrival and were exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Renting through Harriet (the owner) was secure, fast and easy. All questions were quickly answered.
3. Zihuatanejo!!! The most relaxing of vacation destinations, bar none. On the hillside above La Ropa beach. Very quiet, but just a short walk to the beach and anything else. Five minute drive/cab ride to downtown.
We couldn't ask for anything else. We didn't want to leave, but we'll be back.
It is always so nice to have seasoned Zihua visitors as well as newbies. Thank you so much for your kind words and we look forward to your stay with us next December!

C'est La Vie at Ensueño 10- we were fortunate enough to spend seven wonderful days at C'est La Vie in april. The pictures we provided do not do the condo justice - you must stay there yourself you will not be disappointed!
The property manager, Lynda, and Eddie, the concierge, were very hospitable and insured that we were comfortable and well taken care of during our stay. The condo is exquisitely decorated and Harriet provides all the amenities one could desire combined with wonderful views of the Zihuatanejo Bay.
The town of Zihutanejo is full of charm and the most gracious people. We have traveled to Zihuatanejo several times over the last 11 years and have always felt safe. Although it is not necessary, we rent a car as the city streets are very easy to navigate.
We recommend C'est La Vie at Ensueño 10 in the quaint town of Zihuatanejo to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation.
Thank you Harriett for sharing C'est La Vie and we look forward to our return!
Thank you, Stephen! We so appreciate knowledgable guests like you.
C'est la Vie just keeps getting better and better. Since your stay we have purchased an incredible large painting of the Zihua fish market for the living room, two huge equipale chairs and planters that light from within.
As the funicular and gym get completed this Fall, it will be one of the premiere condos in Zihua. We are so excited to share it and our beloved town with other wonderful guests.

This is a new villa that sits on a hill overlooking the Pacific ocean. It is perfect for 2 couples, has every amenity you might need and a support staff that goes out of its way to make you vacation idyllic. One of the nicest rentals I have stayed in. There is an additional Guest room that can be used for a third couple, if needed. Sit back relax and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific and the hospitality of the people of Zihua.
Thank you Mike! as yoy know, a house grows into a home with time. We are anticipating that with time our villa will get better and better!
