Location is a bit out of the way versus Fira and Oia but, if you like privacy and seclusion then this location is 5 Stars. The sunset views, as well as the august moon bouncing off of the villa's ocean view are exquisite.
Facilities were great: pool, patio, outdoor dining space.
Pillows, towels, beddings and mattresses could definitely use an up-grade given the property's uber-positioning. Also, the wooden shutters have built-in immoveable blinds in them which allow way too much light into the bedrooms
Management and staff very nice. Oh, and the state of the art sound studio in the Villa is an added bonus for the musicians in the audience!

Our group consisted of 12 people,3 couples and young adults. We had a wonderful trip to Santorini and the villa was awesome. It was the perfect place for the size of our group and we were all able to stay together. I would highly recommend the Blackrock Villa as a place to stay in Santorini.

The road to reach Akrotiri is beautifull, you understand you will arrive somewhere really quiet and kind of "wild".The deep blue of sea is there, the white of the houses as well. That's Greece as you've dreamed.
Service in the vila is good, every room has its own looking.The link with outside view is obvious, white and blue.
Perfect room service.
The dining and rest rooms are wide open on outside. Bedrooms are really quiet places, let the windows open and you won't need the efficient air conditionned.
Around the vila you'll find restaurants enough to discover Greek food.
Assiting sunset on the terrasse is magic,just look at the view and think...
Swimming pool if bit tired, but go for 5 mn walking and have a sea bath.
A really nice place and nice people to meet. -

The place is just: DREAMY!!! Spent with my husband to-be and some friends a long weekend at the Villa.
From the first time we arrived at 8:00 we felt the “magic aura” of the island all in one view from the pool garden side of the villa.
We had breakfast served in the cosy kitchen area, we chilled-out at the simply yet impressive decorated living-room. A fusion of tradition & modernity overwhelmed me!
Got jealous and influenced I have to admit, and I am now planning to change my house decoration at my place in Germany, accordingly :-)!
I was the only Greek of the clique, wanting to show off our Greek places and beauty and I sooooo managed to do so! :-)))
We will definitely choose this place again in the pure summer season! I am in love with it!

We enjoyed truly stunning views from this perfect, tranquil location. All the rooms were simply but tastefully decorated - an exciting and colourful range of spaces and terraces with different moods as the days and passed into evening. My family and friends long to visit again....I cannot recommend highly enough.

It was my first time to Santorini and though I had
seen pictures of the building and surounding area I
was totally overwhelmed by the beauty of this place.
The villa is absolutely great. From the beginning on
the lofty atmosphere and actually the whole layout
and design of the house are astounding. When I am
gonna start builidng a house, it will be inspired by
what I had seen at Blackrock Studios! I stayed there
for 2 days only, but this sitecheck was more than
enough for being ensured my wedding taking place
there. This is the best place I could have found! -

We had a wonderful time on a wonderful island. We will be back to Santorini
again very soon. The island has everything, great beaches, an amazing
landscape with fantastic views, good restaurants, and quality retail.
But the best thing was the villa. I can't fault the facilities. The interior designer
has managed to produce a modern yet homely feel to the whole villa, every
bedroom and bathroom has it's own character, and the views from the
balconies must be some of the best on the island particularly the famous
Santorini sunset. The Kitchen is fully equipped to a very high standard as is
every room in the villa. We spent so much time eating on the terrace or lying by
the pool that we felt guilty for not having spent more time exploring the island.
The only thing wrong with this holiday was that we had to go home. -

This place is amazing! Located with 270 degrees of view to water, the house is a perfect location for a large family or group. The bedrooms are stunningly beautiful; the living area is a gorgeous relaxing area and the back deck/pool is breath taking. The home is on a large lot with no close neighbors so there is plenty of outdoor privacy too. I highly recommend this place, we can’t wait to go back!

What a villa. If you value peace and quiet with the convenience of Santorini's 2 large towns just a short drive away you will love this villa. Stunning sunrise to sunset views over the Agean and Crete Seas, air conditioned bedrooms, a wonderful infinity swimming pool and great ambiance all complimented with with a very attentive house keeper mad this a very special stay. This villa is straight out of the pages of Vogue Living.
Very easy and cheap to rent quad bikes or a smart car to get around, and several really good tavernas in close proximity. Don't miss the Delphina for stunning local seafood at a waterfront table with a family run atmosphere.
Great swimming beaches nearby. We enjoyed the 2 klm walk to our swimming hole, but if you don't, there are a few closer or just drive.
We enjoyed owner Kostas' hospitality so much we are booked in for August 2010. Recommendation enough from a very experienced traveler.
