In the historic and Humanity World Heritage city of Angra do Heroísmo, this welcoming house offers you a quality time in this azorean island, Terceira.
Renovated in 2011, the interiors offer a mix of new and rustic, fully furnished with all you need for a family vacation. The kitchen has everything to prepare meals. The bathroom is all new with a whirlpool shower. The main room has a double bed and storage for your belongings. The diner room turns into a second bedroom for two. A sunroom is just before the 150 square feet backyard, where there is a small garden with local flowers and vegetables.

The "Casa da Tia Arlete" is an unique place with an extraordinary view over the city and Mount Brazil.
From the large backyard you can enjoy the sunset with a beautiful view over the islands of S.Jorge and Pico.
Here you are within foot distance of two Blue Flag bathing areas, a botanic garden, restaurants, bars, a local market and several water related activities.It's also near the community swiming pool, gym and tennis courts.
In Terceira Island you can be inside a volcano (Algar do Carvao), swim in beautifull seas, watch dolphins and whales, practice hiking, golf and absorve the rich local culture and it's traditions.

Wir können das Haus und die Gastgeberin sehr gerne weiterempfehlen. Preis-Leistung ist Top.
Wir wurden am Flughafen abgeholt und sehr warmherzig von der Donna Maria empfangen.
Es ist ein sehr hübsches, neu renoviertes, sehr sauberes Haus mit Garten und ist komplett ausgerüstet mit allem was in einem Haus benötigt wird.
Das Haus liegt circa 15-20 Gehminuten vom Zentrum und es hat in der Umgebung
gute Einkaufmöglichkeit für Fleisch und Lebensmittel.
Die Insel sollte man mit einem Mietwagen entdecken, da die öffentliche Verkehrsmittel nicht
überall fahren. Wir haben von der Donna Maria zu einem sehr guten Preis einen Mietauto erhalten.
Die Donna Maria und der Herr arlindo sind zwei super Gastgeber. Wir würden mit vielen Tipps und
und gute Hinweise täglich unterstützt. -

Tia arlete's house is exactly as listed by the owner in her Flipkey description. My wife and I just returned from a wonderful week on Terceira Island. We were met at the airport by Maria (the owner) and brought directly to the home in angra, following in our rental car. Maria also offers the use of her "88 Mercedes at a very reasonable rate. The house was immaculate. Bedroom, small living room, eat-in kitchen (perfect for self-catering as we did; fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, condiments etc. She provided fresh fruits/pineapple/sweet breads/sweets etc upon arrival) and more formal dining room. Garden and tremendous views to Monte Brasil and Sao Jorge/Pico in the back yard area. Minutes drive from downtown and angra attractions. Marie will assist/organize/guide you to anything you would like to do while in Terceira. Very gracious and extremely helpful. She and her husband advised us of a local feast and bullfight (tourada) and met us at the tourada in the evening; securing us a place to safely watch the bulls at the home of her friends in altares. Maria has thought of everything in order to make your stay comfortable and to allow you to do/see everything you could want to do. You would be well advised to follow her suggestions. The price was only 40 euros a night; an unbelievable bargain in itself. All of the other reviews here are correct. No better deal or finer hosts on Terceira Island than Maria and arlindo Nascimento. Ten stars for hospitality !!! Highly recommened.

When I met Maria at the airport I felt such a connection as if I had met a long lost sister. Her warm smile and hug makes you feel so welcome. As we arrived at the house and she handed me the key and I opened the door I felt like home. It was so welcoming, clean and the view is to die for. In the front you can sit on the porch and see Mont Brazil and watch the boats go by on the ocean. The beautiful view of the mountains and the small towns. In the back you also see the ocean and the islands of Pico and Sao Jorge when it is not fogy. Maria and arlindo are such wonderful persons that I will never forget and I hope to be friends with them for the rest of my life. So if you want to go to Terceira c onsider this place because you will love it.

If you truly want to be immersed in the culture in a friendly, ideal setting, then look no further. Set above angra with great views of the city below, we walked with Maria through the very clean and complete home atmosphere of this house, in true Terceira custom, with full furnishing and appliances. Then by the awesome vegetable garden in back (some of which made a great soup), along the walkway to the view to the West, where you can see the islands of Sao Jorge and Pico. During our 3 weeks there, Maria was an excellent host, recommending places to go, events to see, and places to dine. A great time and memory.

What are you lookinng for when you come to experience the azores? At aunty arletes House you will find a quiant, quirky house filled with love. You just have to sit in one of the funny blue chairs for a few minutes and you can't help hearing the laughter, the joy and the generosity that aunty arlette must have contributed to the world her whole life.
Now let's talk about the total experience: first off you have Marie & Arlindo the perfect hosts. Even though we had rented a car, Marie, with a warm smie & hug, met us at the airport to guide us across the islant to the house. The house has location, location, location and view, view, view, not to mention the wonderful garden. The house borders the historic center of angra do Heroisimo. It has a very comfortable bed, super clean bath and kitchen; your host treats you with the best of the azores... Portuguese sweet bread, fruit, and the products in the cabinents are yours to use, no questions asked. Don't worry about dirty clothes because in the utility room is a new washer.
Are you really ready for Terceira? Ask Maria. She will not only tell you she will guide you to the restaurant, like it is no big deal. The hosts know and love their island of paradise. The best part they are generous knowlegdeable people who are more than willing to share.
No this is not the 5 star Hilton, this is the real thing. A fair price, cleanliness and afar an above the generosity of Maria & ArLindo who reward you with the feeling of long time friends, as the world should be.

It's a nice house with a perfect view over sunsets.
the house had everything we needed. we loved the little garden with vegetebles and flowers.
We defenetly recomend this house for family vacations.
