The location is "Kipseli", part of the center circle, which means that if you enjoy walking you'll need about 20 minutes to Omonoia square and through that to Plaka, the old town, the ancient market, the Acropolis and lots of other "must see" monuments.
On the other hand, if you are the type of public transportation, you'll find several different bus lines in 100-150 meters range around the flat, taking to all main points in reference of the city, with 1.40 euros/person, ex. time by bus to Omonoia square 5-6', Syntagma 10', Mesogion ave 5-6', Acropolis (south side) in 12' etc.
If you are after all a practical type, you'll realize that you can have a call-taxi waiting for you right outside your door and take you to all places mentioned above before you know it, with only a few euros. Taxis are exceptionally cheap in Greece.
In a range of 100m there are pharmacy, super market, grocery, bakery, butcher shop, tobacco, food take away, you name it.
As for the issue of safety, you can ask the little children playing out in the street.
In 5 minutes walk, about 300m there is the famous Fokionos Negri street, full of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, clubs and any kind of night amusement.

We stayed in this apartment with 4 adults and two kids for 4 days in January. What a lovely, comfortable and quiet haven to return to after a busy day being a tourist. Very homely with everything you need and a lovely host to boot.
The location is a little way out of the centre of the city but it has an outstanding view over athens and is was so relaxing. There was a supermarket within walking distance which we used a lot and they have their local market on a Friday which was amazing. The people were very friendly. It was a short taxi ride into the city so it was easy.
Nikos could not do enough for us and he was helpful with transport advice too. He also gave us some beautiful red wine to have which we enjoyed immensely.
We really loved our time in athens and can not speak highly enough of Nikos or the apartment.

Patrick The appartement we've wrent is just amaising. Situated in a top of a hill in a very calm area, it was for us (me, my brother and my 2 parents who are 78 years old) the perfect place to rest and relax. From the roof of the appartement we have an amaising view from the city. We also see the acropolis witch makes the stay quite special. The appartement is really well equiped, with every thing's you can need to cook, and make your stay as confortable as your wishes. And to go anywhere in the city you just have to take the taxi and run where you want to go. Same when you come back and all that only for a very cheap price (alway's inbetween 4 to 8 euro). Make all idea's really easy to realised. We had an amaising time theire and if we have to come back to athènes one day, for sure we will look to be theire again. Thank to Nicolas who take time to show us the good place to eat and the place to buy stuff.

Nikos (the Owner) rescued us from another less than impressive rental unit a day after arriving in athens.
His 2 bedroom unit wasn't available until the next day so he offered us the three bedroom unit, which is in the same building, huge and beautifully decorated. His personal approach to the move and bringing us to an amazing spot for a late afternoon lunch removed all the stress from our less than ideal arrival in athens. We definitely recommend the apartment, the area and can only say good things about the owner. Thank you Nikos. -

The apartment is superb!Furnished with care and good taste.Not mentioning athens' best view at the upper roof!!!The owners, Nikos Karipidis and his lovely family are very nice people not measuring efforts in order to offer simply the best in town. Highly recommended.

Nikos was a great host, we were in athens when all public transport was on strike. Nikos picked us up and took us to apartment also gave us a couple of bottles of wine. The apartment was amazing and true to photos on site. Nikos took us for a quick tour around neighbourhood pointing out places of intrest. Nikos also arranged lifts to airport as again no public transport. So thankyou so much for looking after us Nikos...if we ever come back we will stay in one of your apartments for sure...Thankyou

i was staying in this apt with a group of friends from 19-22Oct. the setup is cosy, rooms are clean, excellent environment for friends and family. Only negative is the distance from the city centre but sometimes you just want peace... isnt it. great view from the terrance, comfortable balcony and defintely worth the penny.

3 of us stayed here the last week of august. All I have to say is the apartment is gorgeous. Large and well equiped! Home away from home!
The view is breath-taking, literally 2 min walk to the grocery store, 6 min walk to all the cafes. Extremely safe, walked around at 2am with no fear. Nikos was very accomidating, we even spent an afternoon sitting on the amazing terrace with him, chatting away. This will be the only place will stay on our trips to athens.
In addition we made a new friend...

This property is even better than what Nikos writes in his description on the web site. The apartment is well laid-out and is equipped with most modern fittings and furnishings. The hill top location in a very quiet residential area provides a great panoramic view of the city. Each room has a lot of natural light and fresh breeze and access to a balcony. We had no difficulty in commuting - as we used taxis all the time and these were available on call, typically within 5 to 10 minutes. A supermarket close by meets all your daily needs. More than anything else, Nikos is a very pleasant host and a superb human being. We followed all his recommendations on where to eat and we immensely enjoyed our stay. We have no hesitation in recommending this property to all discerning travellers.

It's an very spacious apartment in top condition. Luxuriously furnished with a terrific view over the city and over the acropolis. Although located a bit north of the city center, taxis can take you back and forth fairly easy. And nearby Kepsilis Square and surroundings are nice places to stay at as well. We found it very easy to park our rental car in the apartment building

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It is not in the very centre of athens, but near enough for easy short trip to all the sites. Also nice quiet neighbourhood, so no traffic or motorbike noise!
The apartment is very well furnished, with fantastic views. Nikos could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Would certainly recommend this . -

1.Nikos is a very good host! He gave us a lot of information about the environment and also good advice.
2.This appartment is realy amazing! Plenty of room, amazing view from the balconies and also from the roof!
3.The location is very good, when you like some rest, because you are not in the middle of the city.
When you like to go out you can always take a taxi;)

It was our first visit to athens. My sister and I were kindly met by Nikos at the airport and brought to the apartment. This trip was the birthday present for my sister, so the meeting in the apartment was just shocking (flowers, cake and wine) everything was ready for us. Thank you Nikos! We enjoyed our stay in this apartment very much.It has a lot to offer that makes it a wonderful home base. We could get up late, had our morning coffee at home on the the terrace with a nice view to athens. It has a well stocked kitchen, we were able to make our breakfasts and dinners at home. The apartment is quiet and clean with very comfortable beds, soaking tub/shower, large flat screen tv and nice loggia. Nikos was easy to work with and very accessible for questions and requests. He provided helpful material for getting around, told us what to see, how to get to some place, local restaurants, etc. If you are happy being a little bit outside of central athens, I would recommend this apartment very highly.
