No words can some up this little gem of a cottage!!

Left on 10/22/2012 for a stay in October 2012

I do not even know where to start!!
From the first enquiry until after we had left, the owner Jaqueline could not have assisted us anymore; from fielding general enquiries about the cottage to tailoring recommendations on places to eat/drink/dance etc based on the information I had given her about our group!!

Upon finding the cottage literally in the middle of everything (perfect location, set back from main streets but literally next to everything you could want/need!!) we opened the door with anticipation...
Well, the looking glass cottage definately lived up to the pictures and then some!! It's the attention to detail that gave it a real feel of luxury!! And I shall never ever forget the teapot tap!!! No expense has been spared in making this the most quirky, luxurious accomoadtion I have encountered! Teacup lights, cutlery cupboard handles, amazing wallpapers, the list goes on!!
We were a group of 8 and there was more than enough room for everyone, the living room fitted us all in with ease for takeaway and pre-drinks before hitting the town, although I should add the takeaway was purely because we were being lazy, there is everything you would need to make dinner in should you choose to!
Everyone loved there rooms and congratulated me on finding such a place!!!

I totally loved this place and will deffo go back whether I have to organise another hen do, girls trip away or with the husband and a couple of friends, I will deffo be back there at some point!!!

Quirky and bijou cottage in a great location

Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012

We booked this cottage for an end of summer weekend away with friends (five in total, including one couple) and it was spot on.

The location is great - it's a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. On Saturday night it was quite noisy because of its proximity to the clubs, but it wasn't a huge problem for us because we weren't spending our evenings in the apartment. The owners also left us all ear plugs, which was really thoughtful and very much appreciated!

The rooms are quite small, but everything was nicely turned out. We didn't use the kitchen much (as we were surrounded by great restaurants) but it would be ok for basic cooking.

All in all, the cottage suited us perfectly. We weren't intending to spend too much time indoors, but were grateful for a comfortable and central bolt-hole. The teacups went down a storm.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Brighton

Left on 06/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Down a 'twitten' (narrow alley) between two lively pubs in 'The Lanes', this is the perfect cottage for a week/end stay in Brighton. We ate at Jamie Oliver's Italian (less than a minute's stroll away), enjoyed jazz (and Sunday lunch) on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evening at the Seven Stars (two minutes - enjoy Renee), the beer in the Cricketers (next door on the left) is superb, and the Palace Pier, the acquarium and the Pavilion are within five minutes' stroll. I spent much too much money on clothes and jewellery in the nearby-shops, and enjoyed every minute of it! If you like superb interior design, this is the place for you!

Fantastic stay in a lovely place!

Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We stayed at the Looking Glass Cottage recently and we were very impressed with the accommodation. The attention to detail was great, and the location could not have been better.
Everything catered for, tea coffee etc and even a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge! The cottage was warm and friendly and designed in a unique way.
We are already planning our return!

      Looking Glass cottage review, Brighton

Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We stayed in this beautiful cottage located right in the heart of Brighton's city centre. Decorated to the highest standard, its many beautiful alice in Wonderland inspired touches (like the floral tea cups and the silver teapot bathroom tap) complimented the vintage theme of our girl's weekend away. Despite being a somewhat compact cottage it slept eight people relatively comfortably (with the use of two sofa beds), but be warned if you're a light sleeper as being so close to the nightlife means it can be a little noisy come the wee small hours. Thank you to the owner, Jacqueline, who went beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a wonderful stay.

      Magical :)

Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in March 2012

I visited The Looking Glass Cottage at the end of March with 7 other ladies for a hen party. We were completely overwhelemed at how stunning the cottage is.. from the beautiful bedrooms to the outside loo!! The finer details do really make this cottage so special.

It was spotlessly clean, jars full of tea/coffee etc - we even had a bottle of pink fizz in the fridge!

Jacqueline, the owner, was so helpful, and even though at the time she was enjoying a holiday abroad.. she still made sure she was contactable for anything we needed or any queries we had. For instance, we needed a DVD player for a game we had made for the hen, and Jacqueline had her handy-man Mick pop round with one that very afternoon.

Situated a 2 sec walk from the seafront, smack bang in the lanes, it's the perfect location for a Brighton city break.

I would definitely reccommend this beautiful, magical cottage to anyone who fancies a mini-break on the coast.

      Would definitely stay there again.

      Thanks Jacqueline!

      Perfect Brighton hideaway

Left on 04/15/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Had fabulous time staying here. the location couldn't be more ideal, right one the lanes. the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into the house, and it made our stay. Flamingo wallpaper, teapot taps and jars.
the kitchen is really small but we had no intention of complicated cooking, so it suited us perfectly. the busy street outside was muted by the thoughtfully provided ear plugs.
Will definitely use again on another stay in Brighton.
