Description
One of three apartments in "Tigh Tirconaill", that we have named after Irish nationalist leaders to reflect our location in the historic Kilmainham/Inchicore area. Our Grace Gifford cottage is situated to the rear overlooking the patio and sleeps 4. We have one bedroom with an double bed, large ensuite bathroom with walk in power shower and bidet.The living room has comfortable leather furniture with a pull out sofa bed for extra sleeping accommodation.There is a nice dining area overlooking the patio and a compact kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances and washer/dryer for your convenience. Freshly laundered linen and towels supplied. Free wifi and parking for your extra comfort.
Situated to the rear of the property overlooking the patio, you will be cosy and comfortable staying in The "Grace Gifford" cottage.
Location:
Close to Kilmainham Gaol, IMMA, Phoenix Park, and the must-see Dublin institution the Guinness Brewery! We are the ideal base for your visit to Dublin. The bus stop is almost outside the door and the Luas stop is only a 5 minute walk. Served by route 13 and route 40 buses you are less than 15 minutes from the very centre of town, Dame St. and O'Connell St and the world famous nightlight spot, Temple Bar. You are minutes from Heuston Station and less than thirty minutes from the airport.
We are close to supermarkets (Tesco, just across the road), hair and beauty salons, bars and restaurants, a playground, banks, pharmacies and butcher shops .

“comfortable apartment in great neighborhood and great location”
Tons of transit options all around, market across the street, beautiful park a short walk away, easy communication with owner. All good! We had a great stay for four nights!

We do not claim to be in the centre of the city, but are in fact located in the historic Kilmainham area, and within walking distance to Kilmainham Gaol and Museum, the War Memorial Gardens, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin Zoo and Guinness Storehouse (none of these main attractions are in the city centre). We have excellent public transport links to reach the centre in 10 minutes. The issue with the main door on the last day of the visit was caused by an internal button on the lock being switched to deadlock position which is a security feature on Irish locks. Obviously, this had to be done manually from inside the apartment, and obviously there was some panic when the guests were unable to open it. However, a simple flip of the switch would have released the lock. The driver that we use and recommend is normally very reliable, but in this instance, the guests booked him directly and there was a mix up with the days. I am assuming it was the language barrier that caused the confusion, but as the reservation was not made through me, I had no control over this situation. I do apologise on his behalf as I did when contacted by the guests after their departure. We are pleased to hear the apartment was comfortable enjoyable. We aim to provide affordable and top quality accommodation in Dublin.
