Our family of two adults and two daughters (having a week before restarting university) had a fabulous week here accommodation excellent spotlessly clean owners Naoemi and Vlaho very friendly always available with wealth of local knowledge.
Location perfect for 20 min walk down into Dubrovnik or 5 min bus trip, buses going to Old Town or port and Lapad stop close to apartment. Located at top of hill the apartment is reached either by fairly steep road or 120 steps, but we managed and are not "super fit"!
Bakers at bottom of steps or small convenience store 50m away which was well stocked for basic supplies.A few restaurants and beach are within walking distance.
Best thing about location is that it is quiet as in residential area, friendly owners and friendly dog (Boogie) a character in his own right. Apartment well equipped and easily kept clean, fantastic views from any of the balconies and Naoemi always on hand with fresh baking which never disappointed.

From the moment that we were picked up at the airport by Vlaho to when he dropped us off we had a great week in Dubrovnik.
The apartment is terrific. To begin with it has four balconies, the biggest of them having views of the sea, Lokrum island and the cable car up to Mt.Srd.
There is a spacious living room which opens on to the large balcony . There are two well equipped bedrooms and a large bathroom with a great power shower. The kitchen/diner has a table and four chairs and is equipped enough for dining in a warm country. It has a frying pan and a couple of casserole tins plus salad spinner etc. There are plenty of glasses, cups and plates et. We mostly cooked a little on top of the stove and ate bread cheese and meats for breakfast.
The apartment is air conditioned but we just opened the french windows and windows most of the time.
The owners,Noemi and Vlaho, live two floors down and are there if you want them but are unobtrusive if not. However don't refuse an invitation to sample Noemi's cakes and specially brewed coffee!
The house is on a steep winding road but we got used to it and we're in our fifties!
It is about a 15 minutes walk to the old town and a similar walk the other way to the new part of town and then on to the new harbour, Gruz.
There are buses to all parts of town nearby.
A couple of roads down there are a line of small bars and restaurants for a late nightcap.
Dubrovnik was, for us, just perfect. History, culture, boat trips, cable car, islands, friendly people
Our recommendations for food;
Konoba Blidinje (on left hand side of Gruz harbour)
Konoba Peggy on the island of Lopud
The monastery restaurant on Lokrum
a restaurant on the road with the bars, I think called Konoba Lorraine (next to motorbike garage)
Bars with views:
Buza Bar (sea end of old town outside walls)
Konoba Komarda (outside Ploce gate)

Noemi and Vlaho her husband were so kind and welcoming to us - she even baked cake, provided juice and samples of local drinks. It was like visiting friends (an auntie and uncle even). The accommodation itself was more than adequate - reasonably priced and what a view we had. What singled this out from other accommodation also was the fact that it was someone's home that had been partly let and was in a nice neighbourhood area. There were just two of us from Ireland and we were really spoilt with space and the apartment was also very clean. The washing machine gave a little trouble but I'm sure that would have been quickly sorted it we'd said anything but to be honest we didn't need it that much. Noemi and Vlaho even organised a hire car for us as we wanted to visit Medjugorje and that turned out to be more reasonable than taking a bus. Overall I would thoroughly recommend apartment Lise to anyone be it a family, a couple, some friends etc. Our overall impressions of our visit to Dubrovnik was that it was a lovely place to visit, beautiful old city, people so warm and welcoming and to be honest 'they couldn't do enough for you!' Katrina and Kathleen, Midleton, Co. Cork. Ireland. (two very satisfied customers who would gladly return!).

Staying with Noemi and her husband was one of the highlights of our 4-week European vacation. The couple was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the airport, and they even made us coffee on the mornings we saw them. We asked them a lot of questions about Croatia and Dubrovnik, and they were extremely kind and engaging. They even gave us parting gifts (little seashells with the name of the apartment on them).
The home is a very spacious apartment that slept three of us, but could have slept four or five easily. The view from the apartment is spectacular, and the water is nearby. It's only a 10-minute walk down to the water.
We all vowed to return and stay again. What a delightful and affordable place!

The apartment was in a great location between the old town and the new harbour and had fantastic views from three balconies. Noemi and her husband were so welcoming, we would definitely like to go back. There were two bedrooms but because we have a teenage girl and a 12 year old boy our daughter slept on the sofa bed in the sitting room which worked really well.We stayed in several apartments as we toured Europe this summer and this was one of our favourites.

My wife and I stayed at apartment Lise for four nights in June. The apartment is on a hill, and the view is as beautiful as the pictures show. The owners are on-site. They both speak English well and are very friendly and helpful.
The apartment is very well equipped: air conditioning, flat screen TV, microwave, convection oven, and full-size refrigerator. We weren't able to connect to the wi-fi so we used an internet cafe in the old town.
The apartment is a 15-20 minute walk from the old town. To get to the apartment from the highway, follow signs for Hotel Bellview. Online maps show a small street from the apartment to the main street below (Vojnovica). This "street" is actually a stairway, so you have to use other streets. We always found street parking near the apartment. Driving up the hill on narrow streets can be challenging at first, but we drove out of town for day trips with no major issues.
The Dubrovnik castle wall walk is fantastic! Get an early start to beat the crowds and the heat. We took a day trip to Kotor -- well worth the time. Ask the owners for their restaurant recommendation.

This was without a doubt the most welcoming family we have ever stayed with. The apartment was fantastic, the pictures does not do it justice. It is a comfortable distance from the old town and has spectacular views. The rooms are very comfortable and the aircon quickly cools down the house on a hot summers day. The shower is something out of a spa. I will recommend this to anyone wishing to have a truly authentic Croatian experience. Everything was perfect and nothing could be faulted.
what you see on their web-site you get and much more

I stayed at Lise's with my son and his girl friend and here is my thank you note:
We very much enjoyed your beautiful house, everything was perfect - particularly your kind hospitality! You made us feel very welcome and we shall be back. My friends, who stayed with you after we left, also enjoyed it and send their regards and gratitude. While we were in Dubrovnik I had to guard a personal secret - I was the only one who knew - but now I can tell you - Itay has finally decided to marry Shira. They are seriously considering to spend their honeymoon with you. Also I am sure that other friends will come. Best regards to your husband
and to Bugi too! Falalepo and shalom
