South Point Cottage is a 3 bedroom lovely lake front cottage with an outdoor pool, with spectacular views of the Koggala Lake. The cottage is secluded, romantic, serene and peaceful. On two sides of the property is a cinnamon plantation and one side is the garden of an ancient temple.
Only a 10 minutes or less walk to the beach.
Ideal for couples, families and friends. Children welcome. Cots and high chairs can be provided.

South Point Cottage is in a rural quite little village in Kathluwa. less than a 10 minutes walk to the beach and to South Point Villa and South Point Abbey. 1 km to the Fortress hotel. 10 to 15 minutes to Unawatuna beach snorkelling,diving schools, and many beach restuarants available. 5 minutes to Ahangama surfing school and 20 minutes to Mirissa surfing spots. 15 min to Hadunagoda tea estate- where a tour can be conducted on a working tea plantation, factory and a variety of teas available for tasting and purchasing. 10 minutes to turtle hatchery. 25 minutes to Galle Fort/UNESCO declaired heritage site, 31/2 to 4 hours to the wild life parks to see the wild elephants, leopard and variety of other animals. 4 hours to Sinharaja virgin rainforest.

Idyllic location with very caring staff. Lake front position - expansive views over Lake Koggala. The staff very attentive & discreet at the same time. food was just amazing - fresh, varied & they catered to everyone's needs - the pizza was a hit with Kids!
Swims in the pool, strolling down the beach, boat rides in the lake + a spot of whale watching. ( Book Raja & the Whales - great trip)
Main area of improvement was the bedding comfort - was ok - but could be upgraded. -

We chose South Point Cottage as we wanted something away from the main road, a relaxing environment, walking distance to the beach and good food.
The Cottage and its team delivered everything, - cant wait to go back!
