Description from the manager
Beautiful, small villa for 2 (max.4) people, with private pool and garden, ADSL and Sat TV, housekeeper/cook in the north of the Island.
Beautiful 130 m² villa built in 2007 on a 400 m² garden in the north of Mauritius for 2 people, 5 minutes from Grand-Bay and only 900 m from the beach of Péreybère.
A large covered terrace can accommodate 8 people at the table and has a sofa-bed.
A nice garden with palmtrees and exotic plants surrounds the private pool and kiosk. Barbecues around the private pool are a pleasure in this corner of paradise.
The fully equipped kitchen in stainless steel and wood is very modern.

HannoverWe had a great honeymoon stay at Oasis 7, lovely area and people
Left on 07/30/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This was our first time on Mauritius and it will be an unforgetable experience, the service and kindness of the people are amazing, the house gave us total privacy with a private pool and very nice garden, it was completely calm only the birds were singing their songs.
The housemaid prepared delicious mauritian meals for us which we really enjoyed. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back, there is so much more to discover on this island, maybe already next year? Thank you! -

The garden backs onto the main road to Pereybere so from early in the day to late at night the sound of traffic can be heard from the bedroom, living area and garden. The villa is less than 10 metres from a building site, which has allegedly been quiet for two years. That was not the case when we visited. The owner offered a token refund for the inconvenience but never honoured it, despite stating that he would never have let the villa had he known the building works been active. We found out that the owner had checked whether we were fabricating regarding the building works, which was insulting.
The villa is in need of a good clean and also requires fresh paint: patches on the wall had been repainted lazily to cover marks. The kitchenware had not been properly cleaned since the last use, for example, mugs still had coffee stains on them. The (freezing cold) pool also needed a good clean and fresh water (despite having a filter) and the garden needed maintenance. The bed linen (pillows, duvet and blankets) were soiled and in desperate need of replacing. Ants were in abundance on the decking and cockroaches in the kitchen drawers. The sofa bed in the living room is not fit for use as it is well worn and situated in a room where two of the walls are metal shutters. The villa also seemed to be used as storage for a broken washing machine and large baby equipment, which was not requested (the cleaner brought more equipment during our stay).
The public beach is just about in walking distance but along a busy, main road with no pavement or lighting at night. A local restauranteur commented that he was surprised we had walked and warned us of walking along the road at night. There are much nicer areas with far superior beaches than Grand Baie and Pereybere.Response from Mauritius Direct - 07/18/2012

I have too much respect for my clients to try and fight against lies . the noise this client is complaining about was a constructor who came 1 day at 10 AM for one hour to load rocks from a site which has stopped since 2 years or even longer now .
The main road to Pereybere is the coastal road and not this road leading to the Oasis Complex.
Sorry about lack of pavment and lights along that road at night but 100 % of the people who rented the villas since 2008 had rented a car or a mop for the less and this has little to do with the villa itself .
This person paid less than the low season although he came in High season which means that he paid 20 % less than normal price already and his reaction comes from my refusing of giving another 20 % and paying him the renting for a car he claimed for !!!
The restaurateur was right and thought it was safer to take a taxi at night as a tourist , for not even 5 euros from Pereybere public beach restaurants. One does not walk alone at night in ALL MAURITIUS!
For the rest garden etc, (freezing cold ? pool the temperature is 26 C° in july) , I ask our future guests who are interested to simply look at the pictures on the site ref 233109 oasis 7 or ask for more pictures and we will be pleased to send , garden is beautifully maintained and these are constant remarks from people coming .
I apology for large baby equipment and the spare washing machine but some other clients do appreciate not to have to bring these equipments, not requested by these upset clients without kids for whom I made the effort to respond in my poor English although I ‘m French .
