This place is awesome! We had other plans set up for vacation that fell through the day before we were supposed to leave, so we booked this Friday at 4PM. It was a lot more then we budgeted for vacation, but we had little options at that point and bit the bullet. We are so happy now that our other plans fell through. This was the best vacation we ever had. This Villa was more then we actually needed, but it was worth the money. We have 3 small children and couldn't have found the facilities there more convenient and kid friendly. We have no doubt that we'll be going back to the Grande Villas next year, but we will probably stay at a smaller 3 bedroom Villa. 6-G is probably more for two families with 2 or 3 kids total or three generations of family together. The furniture is different then the photos on the website showed, but better. The only thing that Grande Villas could really use is a playground. Several of the families there made the same comment. We consider Grande Villas more like a resort, then a condo.

As always, check in through Emerald Isle Realty is a breeze and very much appreciated. The condo is new and the amenities were such that our visit was comfortable, convenient to most of our favorite restaurants, and relaxing. Without a doubt the balcony facing the ocean and overlooking the pool was one of the best we have ever enjoyed and we spent a lot of time throughout the week enjoying the view and relaxing on the terrace. The floor plan was very nice and condusive to my daughter who has difficulty walking without a cane at times - the open floor plan really made all areas open to her along with the central elevator and the parking garage. Least attractive feature was the obvious soiling from pets on the carpet and the damage done to the carpet in one of the bedrooms from a pet. Also the flatware was such that the stainless coating on the handles were flaking and did not make using them very appetizing -next time I would bring disposable utensils to use.
Update: I'm pleased to let you know that the owner of this villa has had the carpets cleaned and the soiling, which you mentioned, has been removed.

I am sorry to hear of the condition which you found the carpet and the issue with the flatware. I'm happy to let you know that the owner of 6-G has purchased new flatware for the property and a deep clean should relieve the carpet of any stains which are present. Deep cleans usually occur during our off season and we can certainly make the suggestion to schedule one for this property, if it hasn't already been scheduled.
