Brooklyn, New YorkGreat house to stay in Lenox
Left on 09/11/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We had a great time at Gartner House! The house fits 7 of us comfortably. We attended a wedding at Kemble Inn and it was 3 minutes drive. Convenient location, a few minutes drive to restaurant, we also went to Lee premium outlet (10 mins drive).
The house is so comfortable with 4 bedrooms, the kitchen has everything we needed and we cooked breakfast and lunch there. There are so great outdoor place to sit.
The owner, Deb is very helpful and friendly to us! She provided details information for us, first time visitor to Lenox.
Great place to stay. Highly recommend to friends/ family!!

My family, friends, & I had a wonderful 2 weeks at Gartner House. It is within easy walking distance of nice shops, terrific restaurants, & a friendly library.
Not far are Chesterwood, Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Mass MoCa, Norman Rockwell, & a great, newly renovated Beshire Museum in Pittsfield. -

New York, NYFun and a great value!
Left on 08/31/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed two nights recently at Gartner House and found it to be warm, charming, convenient, and a great value. The bedrooms are cozy, and each is furnished in its own style. The downstairs common areas are perfect for a family gathering with shared meals. Also we loved the pretty outdoor areas in the front and back for sitting and reading, or even putting down a mat to do some yoga in the fresh air. The location, a very short walk from restaurants, cafes, shops and the Peter Pan bus stop, was absolutely ideal. The owner was always very prompt in responding to questions. The only downside might be that there is only one bathroom, but it didn't present any big problems for us, even though all four bedrooms were being occupied. In this part of the Berkshires, the great value more than makes up for any slight inconvenience. All my previous visits to Jacob's Pillow, I'd stayed in motels, but this was a fun and relaxing alternative with lots more character.

We visited the Gartner House with my wife, three daughters and my parents and found the house to be clean, comfortable and inviting. The shops and restaurants were all within walking distance to the house. Deb was helpful in reccomending local points of interest and even left us with a welcome basket upon arrival. We would definately choose the Gartner House again when visiting Lenox.

ActonWe love our visits to Gartner House, a hidden treasure!
Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in December 2011
I've stayed at Gartner House a few times over the past 3 years, the last time in Dec 2011. Deb artfully furnishes each room with antiques in a different color theme - especially love the rose and the lavender bedrooms. It's extremely clean, comfortable, roomy, with a home-like atmosphere within a block of downtown Lenox - you won't be disappointed. We've gone as a couple or with a group - there are 4 bedrooms so plenty of room. This place is a hidden gem!

Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in February 2012
I spent two mid-week nights at the Gartner House this past mid-February with my spouse and our 2 year old child. The home exceeded our expectations! The first floor sitting/TV room was tastefully appointed with a comfortable couch and side chair. The TV DVD/VCR was easy to use and we had fun exploring the on-site collection of "oldie-but-goodie" videos. There was also a record player and hi-fi system, along with a terrific collection of records; we would have loved to listen to some of the vinyls after our child went to bed at night, but the record player lacked a needle. (Oh well!) The kitchen had all the basics for cooking and a small eat-in table. We made dinner at home our first night and found everything we were looking for available on-site by way of pots and pans, mixing utensils, plates, etc... The second floor consists of a full bathroom with a washer and dryer and two bedrooms with full sized beds. The third floor has the queen bed in one room and two twins in the other. Each room is moderate in size with decent storage for your own belongings. All rooms have terrific light and easy to open windows. A huge plus for us was that the house came with linens and towels. Outside there is a small patio in front of the house and a plot of open grass in the backyard. The house is the end unit of three row houses, so the backyard appears to be shared and the front patios are separated by floor to ceiling dividers. We found our neighbors to be friendly and welcoming. All of the main shopping and eating in Lenox is a short two to three blocks away - by walking less than 5 minutes, we could browse for wine at our favorite local shop and pick up our coffee from the local roaster. All in, we were extremely satisfied with Gartner House, as well as the accessibility of Deb, the owner. She made herself available by phone and email and quickly responded to any questions that we had before and during our stay. The venue worked quite well for our young family, and would serve equally as well for a ladies' weekend away, or for two couples traveling together, or a family with multiple children. The price for the accommodation is spot on; Gartner House is comfortable, convenient and very charming.

Cotuit, MAFun!
Left on 01/23/2012 for a stay in April 2010
My friend and I stayed at Gartner House in late spring, a lovely time to explore the area. So much to see...lots of charming shops and restaurants in Lenox. We walked to breakfast and dinner...also drove to Lee, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington to visit museums, galleries, shops. Gartner House is so comfortable and nicely appointed; it was a great place to call home during our too-short visit. Can't wait to to back!

Mt. Marion, NYQuaint & Cozy Condo!
Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Having stayed at Gartner House a few times, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway. It is a convenient, short walk to the center of Lenox allowing easy access to all of the wonderful little shops and some great places to eat.
The condo offers all the comforts of home including full kitchen, land line phone, microwave, washer/dryer and a small side yard. Its spacious four bedrooms can accommodate up to eight people.
The location is a short drive from local wineries, Stockbridge sights like Divine Mercy Chapel & the Rockwell Museum, shops in Great Barrington and the outlet mall in Lee.
A great home away from home!
