Elegance at Salem Court, Boston

Boston apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Great one bedroom in Charlestown” Salem Street Court is an exceptional find in Charlestown. The location is great since it is quite accessible to Boston proper, yet away from the hustle and crowd in the city. It is only a few blocks from the Orange Line "T", and the beginning of the Freedom Trail at Bunker Hill. Main Street in Charlestown has plenty of restaurants, a coffee house and a brand new Whole Foods, should the need arise. This area is comfortable to walk around in the evening, and for history buffs, you can take in a meal and/or cocktails at the historic Warren Tavern. Owner Elizabeth is a pleasant, reasonable host, truly concerned with the comfort and hospitality of her guests. Beyond the usual commercial pamphlets, Elizabeth has prepared a notebook of her own suggestions for walking tours in each section of Boston, and also provides information to outlying cities should you want to extend your sightseeing. Overall, Salem Street Court is a wonderful, peaceful place to stay.

“Great Thanksgiving!” Our children could not come home so we decided to gather for Thanksgiving in Boston. This condo is beautiful and very comfortable for six people. The condo is centrally located with many restaurants, shops, a theater, and fancy bowling which we had never experienced, all within walking distance. The kitchen is fully equipped and we enjoyed a wonderful turkey meal with ten guests. The condo is beautifully decorated and very homey so we did not feel the need to be out and about every day. The beds are extremely confortable. Thank you Karen for being such a wonderful host. We made some new holiday memories there in your beautiful home!

The Golden Slipper, Boston's Original Bed & Breakfast Afloat

Boston yacht

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“The best way to enjoy Boston” Staying at the Golden Slipper Bed & Breakfast afloat was like having two vacations at the same time for the price of one. Not only you get to enjoy all what historic Boston has to offer --- the actual places where the nation's great patriots started their struggle to create a free country; amazing museums, excellent restaurants and a wide variety of all kinds of entertainment. You also get the chance to spend your holiday time in the most cozy and private fashion you can imagine: inside a beautiful spacious boat with all the amenities you can imagine. Nothing is missing at the Golden Slipper: two bathrooms, two very comfortable beds plus a sofa bed, a kitchen complete with all you need to fix a nice meal, plenty of storage to put you stuff away and more. The boat is anchored at a privileged location: Lewis Wharf in Boston's North End, where you're only minutes away from important historical landmarks, grocery stores, shops, the subway, parks and much more. And you can't have a better hostess than Gretchen, the innkeeper. As soon as you arrive, in no time she'll take you around to show you where's everything and then you're good to go to enjoy Boston. Staying at the Golden Slipper Bed & Breakfast afloat is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy this unique city.

“A lovely apartment, full of character” After staying the previous week in New York in a hotel, it was so much nicer to stay in an apartment of our own, which really felt like a home away from home. Myself, my wife and two grown up daughters found the apartment was very comfortable and spacious; it was fully equipped with everything we could need. We parked our car up for a week as it was so easy, quick and inexpensive to get the T into the centre of Boston, with the station only a 5-10 minute walk away. Jamaica Plain itself was a really nice, safe quaint town with plenty of shops and restaurants. We visited Jamaica Pond which we found to be a delightful lake in a beautiful setting. Thank you Olive and Richard for such a wonderful week in your lovely home. If we return to Boston we would definitely like to stay in this apartment again.

Luxury Suite, Moroccan Furnishings, Boston

Boston apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Elizabeth, Bill, and Margaret were awesome!” We stayed in the Moroccan Suite the first half of our stay in Boston. We were pleasantly surprised by how large the space was and how at home we felt there. What great history there is in this space. We never went without anything that we needed. Our hosts made sure that we were always taken care of. There is no way to do laundry in the suite but this didn't bother us at all as there is a laundry facility within a two minute walk. We parked our car at a parking garage and paid about $20 less per day than at most parking garage's in the city. The walking path was very safe. The suite was within a short walk to the "T" (public transportation) and you can be nearly anywhere within 30 minutes of walking. My husband and I felt very safe here. You will be glad you chose to stay at the Moroccan Suite!

“North End, the best location for a visit to Boston” We are two couples who rented the 2 bedroom apartment on Hanover St. I booked the apartment fro our stay and everyone said I was a genius, thanks Dror! The apartment was clean and spacious. The location was perfect, right on Hanover St, the eclectic heart of the North End. Breakfast is easy, as My Cousin's Place is right across the street. The brothers cook up sandwiches fresh to order and the sports talk is free while the food is prepped. So many restos within a short walk, the famous Pizzeria Regina just a 10 minute stroll away. The harbour walk is 3 minutes from the front door. The Freedom Trail 1 minute away, Paul Revere's House only 5 minutes away, North End Church the same walking distance. Shopping for all necessities is but a quick stroll in either direction. The taxi to Logan is a 15 minute ride. The owner of the apartment and the rental agency are easy to work with. The real estate office on the main floor of the building was more than happy to help us. We will stay here when we return to Boston.

About Boston

Boston, Massachusetts is arguably the most historic city in the United States. With a variety of nightlife and entertainment, historical attractions, and thriving arts scene, Boston has become one of top travel destinations within the United States. Boston is broken down into several unique neighborhoods. Some of the highlights include Back Bay, an upscale area with many boutique shops and top-class dining options; Chinatown, the fourth largest in the U.S.; Downtown, the primary hub of all tourist activity; and the South End, known for its Victorian brownstones dating back hundreds of years.

While you're in Boston, be sure to make time to visit some of these must-see destinations:

  • Museum of Fine Arts: This is Boston's largest and most comprehensive art museum.
  • Freedom Trail: Take this four kilometer walking tour of 16 different historic sites throughout the city.
  • Quincy Market: One of Boston's oldest marketplaces, Quincy Market features many eateries and excellent street performers.
  • Harvard Square: Located in the nearby city of Cambridge and home to Harvard University, this historic area is full of great shops and restaurants.
  • Sam Adams Brewery Tour: This brewery invites visitors to see how Sam Adams beer is made and gives out free samples at the end.
  • Watch a Baseball Game: Boston Red Sox fans are notorious for their devotion to their team, and their distaste for the New York Yankees!

Some of the city's most popular events include a two-day regatta in October that features over 8,000 rowers, the Boston Marathon in mid-April, and one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day festivals in the country during mid-March. No matter what time of year you visit, you'll have no problem finding a vacation rental in Boston. Whether you want a luxury villa, an apartment with skyline views of downtown Boston, or a condo in nearby Cambridge, there's sure to be a property that will meet all of your needs. If you have some extra time and want to explore the surrounding area, check out Cape Cod or Providence, both of which are less than an hour and a half away by car.

Great location!

Couldn't ask for a better location in the north end! We were able to take a short walk to Quincy market, along with endless Italian restaurants and of course mikes pastry! Great value for the space you get, definitely a little bit of a weird layout, you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the kitchen and living room from the downstairs. Definitely would recommend switching the living room and upstairs bedroom! Overall we had a great stay and will definitely come back!see more

Sisters Get Away Vacation

This house is perfect for someone with a disability that requires them to stay in a wheelchair. When I started looking for a house near Boston that had accessibility, I found it to be a daunting task. Then I found this house. There is a driveway, so you do not have to find a parking place on the street to exit the car. There is a nice ramp to the back entrance, there are two bedrooms on the mail level that are totally accessible as well a a perfect bathroom set-up. The location to Boston was great!. We used the bus line one day, but we figured out Lyft was just as cheap with the amount of people we had. The grocery, liquor stores are within walking distance from this home. There was a great Scottish pub that was recommended in the house literature. It was a great place to eat and enjoy each other. We even enjoyed visiting with the owner. Most locations in Jamaica Plains had the ability to get a wheelchair into their establishment. You just had to ask. They would come out with a metal ramp that fit their facility. This house is perfect for 7 people.see more
Waterside Place
Wonderful place close to everything.

The location is outstanding near many sites and restaurants. Right on the water. Waterside Place had many nice amenities: TV and pool room, outside barbecues, library/reading room, workout facility, concierge, etc, Home away from home stay. … see more
Luxurious Comfort Home Close to T and Boston
Perfect Location!

We just got back today from a fabulous weekend in Boston. Our accommodations were exactly as you see in the photos. Despite a few short-comings with the kitchen supplies and only one bathroom, it was great. The proximity to the T-line was ideal (only 3 stops to downtown Boston) so we didn't even need to use our vehicles once we were there. The area of the home was quiet and safe and all on one floor which worked out well for my elderly parents. If we had any questions or concerns, Geng responded within a few minutes to resolve. I highly recommend this property.see more
Houseboat White Elephant: HUGE Boat Rental Downtown Boston!
Definitely Recommend!

The pictures said it all, re what to expect when we got there. The inside is exactly as depicted and we enjoyed the outside deck in the afternoons. John was our contact person and he was most responsive to our requests, very friendly. We wanted to be close to the Freedom Trail, the Trolley line, and the waterfront. The White Elephant is exactly where we wanted to be. We found a hand carved onyx white elephant at a wonderful little shop, Ten Thousand Villages, to take home as a souvenir. We would definitely recommend Sleep Afloat to a friend or relative and hope to seek out other waterfronts in the future.see more
Houseboat Taurus: Boat Rental on the Water Right in Downtown!
Great time in Boston!

What a wonderful experience we had staying on the Taurus. The boat was as clean and modern as any hotel and twice as fun. The gentle motion creates a great nights sleep. We went in early spring when it was only about 50 degrees out. The boat has a great heater and we stayed cozy, however it did get a bit chilly in the bottom bunks at night. The location can't be beat. The north end is amazing, no shortage of great dining that's for sure. Can't wait to return!see more
