Wermelskirchen, GermanyOur stay at Anglers Cove
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Due to the elevator, the apartment was quite loud. We had problems to adjust to the noise, especially in the first nights. At the furniture and kitchen equipment you can see traces of use, the floor could need an overall clean-up. After all, it was a great stay and we felt comfortable in the apartment! The apartment is in a central position, great for trips in the nearby everglades and cities.

Once again we were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness, particularly of the lower level, and next year it will be more important as we will have people down there. The linens were improved from 2012 which was good. And a plumbing problem was addressed immediately! Once again Andrew Vale of the property management company was a joy to deal with.

Left on 03/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Marco Island was very nice. Anglers Cove was a very nice complex. The unit we rented was outdated and needed some TLC. Overall the unit was very clean. I'd stay again at this complex but would pick a different unit.

New Brighton, MI, United StatesAngler's Cove - next to the elevator
Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We would stay in this location again, but in a unit not next to the elevator. It was very loud. The downstairs area, which we thought we could use as extra sleeping for another couple for a few days, was actually a glassed in patio. The floor was poured pebbles and not air conditioned. There was a floor unit that took a little of the mustiness out. But when it rained the water ran down the outside of the upstairs lanai glass windows and found it's way down the hole for the spiral staircase and dripped. Hense the mustiness. It was nice having the extra TV and bath downstairs. And for a family, the kids would love it down there - like sleeping on a porch. It was also very close to the pool and lounge area. Parking was right under the unit - through a door downstairs. The upstairs had adequate furnishings for two. It was an odd shaped room, so the couch and loveseat and small square dining table sat at an odd angle to each other. Pretty small for 4. Huge bedroom and adequate closet space. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, etc. Small fridge and stove, but adequate. Three tvs and many DVDs. Well stocked linen closet, but not with very new linens. Washer and Dryer on floor above just next to elevator, so it was handy, but we proabaly heard the water too!! There were huge stains on the carpet, but there was Resolve in the pantry, so I cleaned it the best I could. If I were staying longer than 1 week I would have washed the windows. Marco Island is a very clean and very small island with one main street. We were pretty close driving distance to everything. Parking near one of the three beaches requires a residents pass that you can get for $50 if you stay for at least a month. There is parking for visitors near the Marriott. We had friend with a pass. A month might be a little too long in this unit. I would prefer somthing a little larger or a dryer downstairs.

The unit was great. The only con was being that it is located next to the elevator. The elevator was a little bit loud at all hours.

I reported the problems (minor) we encountered when we turned in the keys -- linens not so great, med size saucepan needed, lower level not too clean but we didn't use it much. However I cannot say enough about how wonderful Andrew Vale was to work with -- easy at the beginning and all the way through. It wasn't something that mattered, but the lower level key from the garage didn't work. We really didn't need it anyway but in case anyone cares.
