Description

There are ocean views and then there are top floor, end unit, panoramic ocean views. That’s what you get from the balcony of this 1,400 square foot beachfront condo on the 10th floor of the Merida, in the luxurious gated community of Cape Marco.

It sleeps six, with two queen beds, two sleeper sofas and three bathrooms.

The balcony table takes waterfront dining to a whole new level. Enjoy breakfast as you look out onto an endless expanse of turquoise water, dotted with some of the lush green Ten Thousand islands. Watch the yachts pass by in the sun-sparkled channel below. Listen to the calls of passing seagulls. Maybe they’re asking each other what you’re doing up here so high in the sky.

The massaging trade winds blowing off the ocean feel so comfortable you won’t want to leave the balcony anytime soon, so pour yourself another cup of coffee and look down at the long strip of white sand, lined with palm trees. See the big swimming pool in the midst of all those palms? You’ll be relaxing in its warm water soon.

It’s one of the many deluxe amenities offered by the Merida. You can also enjoy the state-of-the art fitness center, tennis courts, social room and private dock.

A mirrored wall in the polished tile living room surrounds you with the ocean view when you’re relaxing on the comfortable sofa and chairs or having dinner on the table beside the sliding glass balcony door.

The kitchen comes with all modern appliances and cookware, including a coffee maker, kettle and a blender for your ocean-viewing beverage of choice.

The bedrooms feature televisions and sliding door access to the balcony. You can see some of the Ten Thousand Islands while you’re lying on the bed. Sure beats looking at a watercolor painting of a palm tree.

The ensuite bathrooms come with a walk-in shower, bathtub and plenty of closet space.

The unit is filled with comfort-enhancing amenities like air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, free wi-fi, cable and a washer and dryer. And since you’re only a few steps from the warm sands of the beach, you’ve also got everything you need to enjoy it, like beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella.
