Great Experience - Clean, Friendly and was worth every $$$
I went my family and there were 5 of us. Our 2/2 apartment at Marigot Bay was a great location overlooking the water, marina, mountains and sunset. The staff (Nina and Monica (not sure)) were really hospitable and friendly! The apt was immaculate and there is cleaning and laundry service included. We rented a car so I love the fact that the location was reasonable to go to Reduit Beach (Rodney Bay), Soufriere and Castries. We will absolutely definitely reccomend this place to our friends and I already did with 2 co-workers.
The food at the restaurants were great and my 2 favorite were Hurricane Hole and Discovery Hotel. Hurricane Hole offered a happy hour with awesome music and Discovery served delicious and good portion sizes for the price.

A unique experience in total luxury
Marigot Bay is a relatively undeveloped resort catering for sailing and motor yachts and people seeking a secure exclusive environment in an ideal climate. We enjoyed a superb modern two-bedroomed apartment on two floors with spectacular views of the bay. The accomodation comprised the upper two floors of one of the several recently built Swiss-chalet style units which are set in gardens overlooking the bay, marina, swimming pools and restaurants. Our apartment measured about 2,000 square feet, with polished hardwood floors, high-spec kitchen facilities, enormous en-suite bathrooms, full air-conditioning, fans, three TVs,Jaccuzzi, etc. The living room has an enormous balcony equipped with chairs table and loungers. Each bedroom has its own balcony and the two rooms were located on different floors and at different sides, so were quite separate. The room service and cleaning staff were excellent and attended to us courteously, propmptly, and with a big smile!
The hotel has a beautifully set-out restaurant with silver service, plus a bar restaurant which provided competitively priced food. We had a choice of restaurants outside the hotel, offering local specialities, including fish dishes. A free boat service linked the two sides of the bay and provided access to the small beach, and other restaurants.
We bought food from the supermarket located in the marina complex and made our own breakfasts and lunches. A variety of trips, taxis and boating activities were available, both via the hotel and via the local providers. We took a Sunset sailboat cruise with David who entertained us with his enthusiastic anecdotes and the local Piton beer. We also took a taxi to the capital Castries and did some shopping for vegetables in the market, but were happy to return to the paradise and seclusion of Marigot Bay. Simply chilling by the pool and enjoying our Pina Colladas took some beating.
The staff made us feel so welcome.

Thank you Mike. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in our Discovery Hotel apartment in Marigot Bay and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
perfect, peaceful relaxing gem of a hideaway
We had the most amazing relaxing holiday at Marigot Bay, the apartment was stunning with every need accommodated for. A manager on hand to meet and greet and for any possible queries. The use of Discovery hotel made the holiday 5 star with the pool and gym included in the accommodation.
Karen was extremely efficient and organised in arranging not only the booking but providing added information about the island and surrounding areas.
If your looking for a quiet relaxing escape from it all, this is the perfect place.
It is worth travelling to the local supermarket for a fresh food shop as the convenience store is limited and quite expensive if your aiming to eat in.
Marigot Beach is wonderfully relaxing even though the sunbeds are quite old, the views and breeze more than make up for it.
The water sports hire weekly pass is a must, be sure to barter for a $50.00 us price, it is well worth it for your more active holiday maker.

So glad Marigot Bay lived up to your expectations as I know you were so excited about your holiday before you left cold Britain. Also that Nina helped you to settle in and meet all you your requirements. Good info on the watersports. I will add it into the guests info folder in the apartment for future reference. Hope you can visit the island again some day soon. Best wishes Karen
A little paradise in West Indies
We spent 10 fantastic days in Marigot Bay, we could stay there for life!
This bay is beautiful, the homes in harmony with the surrounding nature, the people who work in shops or at the hotel are nice.
Karen's apartment is spacious, comfortable, well decorated and equipped, functional and very close to everything.
The pool at the hotel is in a superb full of vegetation and flowers.
Nina arranged a transfer from the airport and she welcomed us very warmly.
I hope we will come back again another time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a great review. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
I stayed at this apartment last week and rarely post reviews online, however I feel I must here as the paartment was beautiful, spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished and had everything we needed. The back up when needed by Nina who was available whenever we needed was superb the cleaning service spotless. The area was stunning..we were only staying for a week, so didn't get a chance to visit the whole Island, but Marigot Bay was by far the lovliest part of St Lucia we saw on our visit. I stayed on the Island with my two teenage sons and was cautioned before I went away about travelling as a single woman and security..but the security at the apartment with the intercom system and 2 locked doors before our apartment put me completely at rest and we were able to completely relax and enjoy being there. We loved our holiday and wished we had longer..hopefully we will return before long .

Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. Really glad you had a relaxing holiday and that the boys had fun too. Hope that you can revisit one day but for a little longer.
Schera ans Serge
Very nice place; wonderful apartement. Small balcony with view on th marina. Enjoyed the proximity of the small beach and the swimming pool. A small grocery next door helps buy stuff but very expensive. Must go to a 20 mns far grocery by car to have better prices.
Nice backery nextdoor.
The wifi is the marina wifi and sometimes reaches a small part of the appartment otherwise is usable next to the backery.
Nina (the agent over there) always helped us when needed with advice and electricity transformer lend. Watch out the very small flyes, they bite ! and you have to drive the other side of the road if you rent a car but you get used to it !
The island is wonderful, the beaches, the people, very peaceful and the apartment ultra clean and got all you can need..the rooms are huge, the bathrooms are perfect and the maid comes twice a week.
Wonderful stay.. I recommand it !

Thank you Schera and Serge. Much appreciated for your time. I am glad you enjoyed St. Lucia and hope you can visit again one day.
Christmas in Marigot
We have just spent Christmas in flat 7a at Marigot Hill. The apartment is lovely - spacious and beautifully appointed. It was well equipped and everything worked perfectly. We were delighted with the Christmas tree and the gingerbread biscuits left by Nina and her staff. We loved sitting on the lovely balcony watching the world go by. The bakery and coffee shop was really useful for breakfast and the hotel pool was great.
We had a hire car and thoroughly explored the island - we spent Christmas day on Pigeon island.
The only downside was the beach at Marigot which is a bit unkempt and poorly serviced - the sun loungers are dirty and broken and and there are far too few to go around. However, with a car, you can easily find other beaches.
Response from Karen Byford - 01/03/2012
Many thanks for taking time to write your review Kathy. Glad you enjoyed your time there. It is a shame about the beach, I will speak to our contacts in Marigot Bay and see who is in charge of rectifying this as it is a great little commodity for the bay and should be kept pristine.
Great holiday with friends
My friends and I have just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Marigot Bay apartments. We were greeted by Nina who showed around the apartment and gave us an introduction to the area. The apartment has everything you could need for a relaxing stay, plus it is situated next to the 5 star Discovery Hotel, where we relaxed by the pool, enjoyed the food and cocktails and treated ourselves in the spa.
Within the resort there are several good bars and restaurants. The coffee shop is great for breakfast and there are shops/boutiques in the courtyard. A short ferry ride takes you to The Marigot Beachclub and Doolittle's Restaurant and Bar - great music and great company.
We had a great holiday and would recommend the apartment and resort to those looking for a relaxing break.
