"This was our second annual stay at King's Krest during april. Although the weather was not as cooperative as we had hoped, we still had a great time, and enjoyed the house even more than last year. We spend the days kayaking, crabbing, sitting on the dock, etc. At night, we walk to one of the many wonderful Inlet restaurants. There's no better place to unwind and enjoy family. The 100 year old house is wonderful, and the family has done a great job preserving the history and heritage of the place. Litchfield re service was excellent." - R. Hucks, Florence SC

My family and I stayed at Kings Krest the week of my daughters wedding. It was a dream come true for her and I adored every inch of this home. It was our first time to stay there in Murrells Inlet as in years past we have spent our family vacations in Surfside or Garden City, but we loved it in mi. We are hoping to get back to Kings Krest over the summer. The house has such character and warmth that it deserves to be called a home. It is nothing like the houses we have ever rented before, what an awesome family this must be to maintain such absolute jewel! The people at Litchfield Realty were wonderful too, they seemed to share in our excitement of the upcoming events...could not have asked for nicer people to deal with.

The ambience of a 100+ year old cozy home on the deep water of historic Murrell's Inlet (probably named for a pirate) is incomparable. The 4 beautiful, spacious bedrooms (that sleep 16) provide stunning light from the sky and water. Two full baths. The open kitchen window brings community to the Kitchen and Eating Porch with full view of the Inlet. The Living Room, consistent with the hardwood floors throughout the whole house, allows for computer connection and cable t.v. Easy parking and a floating dock for your boat combine with other amenities to make this a perfect vacation home at any time of year proven by this reviewer who has stayed there for more than 50 years in different seasons - most recently in June and January.
"Murrell's Inlet's history is deeply rooted by our marsh creeks, sandy banks and river landings." You can experience it for yourself! -

We stayed at Kings Krest for 5 nights October 10-15 and had our wedding reception there. It was perfect. I love old houses, and this one makes you feel like an old friend visiting for a few days rather than a renter. We were married at Belin UMC outdoor chapel and walked across the street to Kings Krest for the reception, which was in the backyard with a gorgeous view of the inlet. My husband's father kept his boat at the dock so we could take the kids out whenever we wanted. We had our 4 teenagers plus one guest and no one was cramped. Can't wait to go back just for a vacation!

Left on 09/11/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The first positive point of my vacation was my friends at Litchfield Real Estate. They all made me feel welcome calling before my due date to check in to answer any questions and then on the day of check in, I was greeted at the front lobby by everyone giving great advice on fishing and shopping.(The best customer service I've had in a long time)
Second the house (Kings Krest) was a mansion. We had a total of 11 beds not including the Hammock on the second level screen porch, in which we fought over. The house had every amenity of home plus more. We all love the screen porches and the enormous space through out the house and yard.
Third and last was the fishing. We all heard about the great flounder hole off to the right of the dock but was skeptical about it. We caught several very nice keepers and the rest was too small to keep. We ate blue crabs for two days. I promise my friends at Litchfield I was going to call them when we began to cook the crabs but they were too good to share.(Sorry) This place was great giving the price, location and mainly the size. If anyone is looking for a nice quiet place to relax, fish, shop, or just hang out at one of the many bars or restaurants in the area Kings Krest is the place to be.
I am a license contractor who travels a lot and about a week after my check out I called back to speak with the ladies at Litchfield just to tell them how impress I was because I normally don't meet such great people with great personalities out on the road and especially on vacation. Please don't change a thing about Kings Krest or Litchfield Real Estate agency because on a scale of 1-10 you guys get a 10.Response from Litchfield Real Estate - 09/12/2012

South CarolinaGreat creek-front getaway in a beautiful old home
Left on 04/13/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Our family spent a 3-night getaway in the King's Krest located right on Parsonage Creek in Murrells Inlet. We are from the low-country, but had never stayed at this location. King's Krest is a beautiful old home (100 years+) with so much family history, charm, and character. The house itself has 4 spacious bedrooms; 2 full baths; several sitting/dining areas; a wonderfully-stocked kitchen; and 3 idealic screened porches. The gazebo/floating dock are perfect places to watch/photograph wildlife; kayak or boat; and fish/crab. Fish weren't biting...but we caught lots of atlantic Blue Crabs! In the evenings, you can walk to some of the Carolina's best seafood restaurants. The house is full of great books, magazines, photo albums, journals, etc. that highlight its history. The furnishings harken back to older, simpler times on the SC coast when families played and fished in the tidal creeks, and gathered together for meals and stories in the shade and on the porches. If you're looking for night life and modern beach-front condo living...this is probably not for you (although you're only a few miles away from beaches in Garden City or Pawley's). If you want a great family getaway spot that invites you to slow down and enjoy your stay...King's Krest is for you!

If your your looking for modern this is not the house for you but it was perfect for us we loved everything about this house the large porches, beautiful floors, old family pictures on the walls it felt like you stepped back in time. We had our wedding reception in the back yard and we could not have asked for a better view. It just gave you this comforting feeling and a relief to step out of the normal hustle and bustle. I want to thank the homeowners for sharing this beautiful peace of heaven we will always have such great memories of their home.

The rain came at night and early in the morning, giving us plenty of time to enjoy a mild sunny day! Afternoon at the beach by boat, then grilling a steak, what a great stay! Brought home a couple dozen crabs that we caught off the dock. Wonderful place, wonderful time!

Great location. Great dock. Needs additional bathrooms and needs a walkway between house and dock.

Thank you for your review of King's Krest! It does have a great location and the dock is amazing! Part of the charm of King's Krest is that it is a 100+ year old home and that is why there are two baths - in fact, one of them was added by the owners fairly recently. We will offer your suggestion to the owners about the walkway to the dock. Thanks again and we hope to see you again very soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at King's Krest. The house is charming. It is conveniently located so that we didn't have to drive far to locations we wanted to visit. We enjoyed crabbing off of the dock. The rental property next to King's Krest had a couple of noisy, late night parties, but the rest of the week was quiet and relaxing.

Thank you for letting us know about your visit to King's Krest! This historic home is full of Inlet charm! Next time try some fishing for flounder to go with the crabbing! Please give us a call is you are disturbed by guests in adjoining properties! Even though they don't belong to us, we can call the rental company and ask them to ask their guests to be a bit quieter! Thanks again and we hope to see you again really soon!
