Visit Myrtle Beach's Summer Tree Village, a wooded complex off of Shore Drive which offers the excitement of the seaside and the peaceful quiet of wooded grounds with walking paths. This lovely two-story two-bedroom condo features a fireplace and an excellent view of the pool. This very spacious condo offers comfortable furnishings, 2.5 baths, classic beach decor and two balconies. This condo sleeps six people with one king bed, two twin beds and one queen-sized sleeper sofa. Additional features include a washer/dyer, wet-bar area, two TV's, one VCR, one DVD and one CD player.

The condo was very nice and clean when we arrived. The water pressure in the showers is not very good, but other than that we had no problems. We did notice some of the pool lounges were in bad shape, and there didn't seem to be enough. Sitting around the pool and when trying to cook, we were attacked by multitutes of flies. They were everywhere. In all of our other visits we have never seen that problem. One night when we cooked out all the grills at the outside pool were out of gas. That was a little inconvenient. but God willing we will be back next year.

We spent our Christmas holiday in a two level unit and we were content wih our choice although we would select a one level unit next time.
The reservations staff and office management were very accomodating and friendly.
The home was what we expected and accuratley portrayed in the photo's on the rental website.
The kitchen was small but adequate although we were surprised by the dead roaches that welcomed us...a positive was that they were dead!
The bedrooms were decent sizes and each had its own bathroom. We opted to bring our own linens so can not comment on that.
The living area was quite small and after seeing a one level unit, we would recommend booking a one floor option if available.
Overall the unit was satisfactory, a little more care in the pre-clean would be helpful but this does not diminish the cost effectiveness and great location.Response from Grand Strand Vacations and Rentals - 02/16/2009

We are sorry to hear that you found "dead bugs" in the unit. South Carolina does have its share of critters and for that very reason all of our condos are exterminated on a monthly basis.
